Return of the Joker DVD - Widescreen or Fullscreen?

I just got a copy from Amazon. Its the uncut version and it came in a snapper case. It doesnt look like the one pictured on the site though. It also says that its fullscreen. Does anyone have a widescreen version of this?? Is it suppose to be fullscreen?

I believe it's only available fullscreen, that's what I have.

DVD Compare says this:

The first, edited release is 4:3, and is believed to be an "open matte" -version. The re-release is 1.78:1...The back cover falsely claims, that this is a full screen version.

Hmm, I should have popped mine in. It's been a few years since I watched it and just went by the "modified" bit on the back.

Hmmm. Thanks for the response. I didnt take it out of the wrapping yet just incase I wanted to exchange it. The thought did cross my mind that it could be a misprint.

I have this one and it is a misprint. Uncut version is widescreen, but not anamorphic.

Does anyone know if the new 2005 release of this is anamorphic? The edition that comes in a normal case and not a snapper? I would love an anamorphic release for this film.

Perhaps WB will hear fans wishes and deliver this one on Blu-ray. That would be awesome.

From what I have heard, the keep case release has the exact same non-anamorphic disc from the uncut snapper release.
