"24: Exile"- 11-25-08

I guess this is gonna be the made for TV movie prequel that aired 2 days before the 25th when the DVD will b released.

"88 minute movie that will air on Sunday, Nov. 23rd in one night which includes exclusive DVD extended edition creator's cut. Takes place between Season 6 and 7. On they day of the Presidential Inauguration, Jack Bauer finds himself in the midst of a bloody uprising in the small African nation of Sangala. He must risk his life to transport a group or orphans to the American Embassy and sacrifice his own freedom to ensure that they are evacuated out of the country and make it safely to America."

I guess the real question is if this will be on the eventual 24: Season 7 set? I'm sure we will probably have to wait about a year for an answer to that particular question though.

You know that's a link to the TV Talk forum, right?

Thanks for the heads up, Chris. Hopefully this will be part of the complete season set, too.

Yep, hence the "TV movie prequel".

As I mentioned in the other thread. Jon Cassar, the director, says the film ran 15 minutes over than the allowed network time hence the 88 minute runtime. So, expect a 100-105 minute director's cut on the DVD.

Sorry if you don't care for the other info. Just trying to throw out what this is about.

I'm in. I love 24 to death. Have all the seasons, as well as three individual releases (Season One Starter Set, Season 6 Premiere, and a Behind-The-Scenes DVD). Can't wait. I like that they are releasing it so soon after its initial premiere too, interesting tactic.

There is a drawback to this strategy though. 2 years ago FOX released the 1st 4 episodes of season 6 on DVD, which were supposed to come out the Tuesday after the 2-night premiere, and a copy of it got leaked onto the net 2 weeks before the season premiere. There was a shit load of spoilers that leaked onto the net that basically ruined the premiere for me. Some Mom & Pop stores will probably get this DVD in early, so there is a possibility this could happen again.

Just avoid reading anything about it. Problem solved.

Exactly. It's not hard to avoid spoilers on the net.

Hopefully the fresh scenery and new direction for the show breathes some life into the stale formula the writers have been stuck in for the past 6 seasons. I'm looking forward to it.
