MUST...HAVE....

I wonder if the "$50 gift card to Sideshow Collectibles.com" is one of those on-a-$500-purchase deals, or a straight $50 gift card?

There are selected items you can use it on. Usually all different price ranges but their more popular items are not on the list. Usually 50 or so items to choose from.

I'm in for the BB set. Hopefully if this set, and the Iron Man one, sell well they'll continue to put out Sideshow exclusives and include gift cards.

As much as I love Indiana Jones, I've gotten tired of these chunky sets. Space is a premium for me now... more for the rest of you, I'm going to pass on this particular deluxe version.

(However, any store with a bonus disc will instantly get my $$$...)

I am in, especially for the gift card. I spent so much at Sideshow, hopefully they list will have something I want.

Right with you. Definitely need something interesting to make me want to grab this title on release week.

Agreed. With Blu Ray soon to be the next big technoblogy within the next five years, the only thing getting me to buy a DVD is a collectible packagaing, a bonus disc, or it not being on blu ray at all.

The ONLY movie I will get, even if it's in a bare-bones 1-disc with no case, is The Dark Knight.

I'm definitely not getting this big-ass set, so I really do hope Target or Circuit city has a bonus disc, or that FYE has it in a steelbook.

I have the Blockbuster Resin Case, that holds four DVDs...I think this will look nice sitting beside it.

Thanks for the heads up!

I thought Paramount stated last year after they went HD-DVD only, that this would be released on all three formats when it would come to home video. Obviously, there will not be a HD-DVD version, but I assumed the Blu-Ray was still on.

This is not Paramount's decision...it's Lucasfilm's decision.

I think I'll hold out for a refrigerator shaped boxed set.

They can just repurpose the Seinfeld ones.

With bonus Fusilli Indy magnets!

In regards to the Blu-ray, what Paramount said way back when was that their 'exclusive' HD DVD contract did not include Indy. That could mean all 3 formats, BD only, DVD only, whatever.

Obviously HD DVD is now off the table. But that doesn't mean that BD is going to happen... Lucasfilm has a habit of waiting a bit before embracing these things. (See Phantom Menance VHS release w/no immediate DVD.)

My guess is that we'll see DVD only, with a BD follow-up in a year or two to grab the double-dip.

He can keep his dvd version, didn't like the movie enough to go with the double-dip on Blu-ray. Will wait patiently for all four on blu-ray.

You what's even more horrible, and quite stupid? Quoting spoilers.

dex14, welcome to the forum, but revealing spoilers or big plot points in a non-movie discussion thread is frowned upon. Do this next time:

[spoiler]Spoiler text goes here[/ spoiler] (remove the space between the "/" and the "s").

You're new, so I assume you haven't had a chance to read this:

In addition, how about some common courtesy with regards to posting spoilers? No need to be a dick to those who haven't seen it yet. Amazingly, not everyone will hate it to the degree you did.
