Quote:
It’s graduation day at Huntington Hills High-- a time for Pomp and Circumstance, tassels and mortarboards, and serious introspection about the future. But tonight, the seniors will leave all that behind for the things that really matter; romance, revenge and rock ‘n’ roll. Ethan Embry, Charlie Korsmo, Lauren Ambrose, Peter Facinelli, Seth Green and Jennifer Love Hewitt star in one raucous comedy about the ultimate teen party, a once-in-a-lifetime alternate universe where class nerds become class studs, super-jocks are humiliated, and freshman crushes blossom into grown-up romance. I'm all in for the Blu-Ray. This was the year of my graduation, so I have a certain affinity for it (its really spot on, would have been better not censored). I haven't watched my copy in a while, but are there deleted scenes on the old release? Maybe there is some of the uncensored stuff in there?

Can't Hardly Wait which stars that dude from That Thing You Do!, some other actor and some chick.
I know they have smaller roles but they could have used Jennifer Love Hewitt and Seth Green to promote the movie.
At any rate this movie was a pleasant surprise to me. I assumed it would be a typical 90's teen romp but it was much more.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie as well. I greatly preferred the Seth Green storyline more than the main romance, but even that was ok and the rest of the movie was funny.
I also would like to see the uncut version, but I suppose deleted scenes will have to do.

Geez, how time flies! I think this was the first Sony Pictures new release to not be issued on laserdisc.
Was this movie popular at all in theaters? I worked at a theater when it came out but it didn't get shown there.

The most ridiculous CGI thing was that they made them change a beer funnel in the background into a Red Balloon, so now there are kids at a high school party walking around with a (bad) CGI balloon.
There's a lot of more "hard" or booze related lines in the trailer that never made it to the movie

I might grab this one up. I had the old DVD but got rid of it because I was trying to whittle down some excess in my collection... but this was always a guilty pleasure of mine. And my gf loves it. Too bad it's not a longer cut now that I know just how much was cut out.

Hate to thread crap here but this movie is easily one of the 5 worst movies I've ever seen.
It's one of the few movies I've seen where I can honestly say I could have written it.

CAN’T HARDLY WAIT marked the directorial debut of comedy screenwriting duo Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan, who went on to write and direct Josie and the Pussycats and who recently co-scripted the hit romantic comedy Made of Honor for Columbia Pictures. The movie was produced by Betty Thomas (Charlie’s Angeles, Guess Who) and Jenno Topping (Catch And Release, Guess Who). In addition to the above cast, look for hysterical cameos from Selma Blair (Hellboy), Jenna Elfman (TV’s “Dharma and Greg”), Donald Faison (TV’s “Scrubs”), Melissa Joan Hart (TV’s “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch”), Jerry O’Connell (Jerry Maguire) and Jaime Pressly (TV’s “My Name is Earl”). CAN’T HARDLY WAIT was distributed by Columbia Pictures and has a run time of approximately 100 minutes. It has been rated PG-13 for teen drinking and sexuality, and for language.
