Hopefully my family will continue to add to it
I have a thing where all the DVDs will deactive with my death. Meaning they will cease to work anymore once my vitals are no more.
I'm divorced with one 36 year old, married daughter; eveything I've got goes to her. She can do whatever she wants with my DVDs, and everything else too. She doesn't have to keep the Ball Python she gave me for Father's Day, 1991.
Mine will all go into a permanent display in my museum and memorial library. Visitors will be able to peruse my collection (from behind glass, of course) to gain further insight into my greatness.
Let family divey them up. Sell em, whatevs I'm dead what do I care ?
If I make the mistake of having kids I'm sure they'll end up with them.
I'd donate all my DVDs to people/places who'd appreciate and use them as much as possible. I'd hate it if all my DVDs just went into storage collecting dust somewhere.
I'm donating my Sanford & Son Season sets to MIT.
I think I'll will mine to all the members here. Each of you get one each, draft in order of seniority on the site.
Its either going to my fiance, or to the military/ youth center, etc.

I have about two thousand DVDs and they are along with my extensive VHS and laserdisc collection actually in my will.
If I die, they go to my parents...but if they are already deceased or die with me the complete collection is willed to my high school library. |
How about setting up some shelves at my funeral and letting people shop on their way home? Hopefully, by the time I die, dvds are curiosities.
A good question and one I have thought about especially since I had to have open heart surgery last year. My brother might take some of them however I do have a few that I wouldn't want even him to see. Maybe I need to make arrangements for someone to come ASAP after my death and remove these titles from my inventory. LOL.
If I have any money then, which is doubtful, I'd probably donate to the local animal shelter, so maybe I'll stipulate that the rest of my DVDs go to them and sold for the profit. |

Hopefully, I'll have children by then and they will go to them. That's one thing I've always thought of in the back of my head is to show these movies to my children one day, give them good taste!
If I know I am dying I plan to have a big bonfire/ party. Where I will give away what I want to pass down and we will all burn everything else I own.
Doesn't matter to me, so long as someone gets enjoyment out of them.
