FANTASTIC film! Just got done watching it. Guillermo del Toro is da man!

My only regret? Not buying the blu-ray version. Certainly will if they do an extended version.

Judging by the limited deleted scenes, I don't think there is an extended version in the works, pretty sure Guillermo was pretty happy with what got put out. Watched the blu-ray this morning and it was worth every penny - Awesome PQ and AQ!

Del Toro has alread said there won't be an extended version in some of the interviews about the DVD

Wasn't this his cut? I think he said that there would be no DC of it cuz this was his cut. I was happy with it. LOVE the documentary on the film, he loves his fans for sure. Sad that we won't see HB III till god knows when cuz of his dealings with Universal projects, which is great btw, and the somewhat lower sales...I mean it did come out a week before TDK. Fucking bad release date, though it did make damn fine cash considering it would topped by TDK..but wtf Universal?

It cost $20 million more than the first film and made $50 million more worldwide, so my guess is it came out okay. But the timing did seem pretty bad.
