Same here. Genres are too confusing. Alphabetical gives me enough annoying little problems. I mean, should the Rambo series be under F for First Blood because that's the first movie, or should it be under R for Rambo because that's the common way of referring to the series?

I'm assuming you're joking, right? You can't understand why people would sort by genre/category? I can't even fathom having my 1400+ DVDs sorted by anything but genre. I can understand why someone with a smaller collection might put it alphabetically (I used to.) As another person pointed out, most of the time I am looking for a certain genre anyways when I go to watch something.

It would, for sure, take me longer to find a title if I had them all alphabetically rather than by genre. I pretty much know where every movie is based on the genre locations on my shelves. If they were alphabetical, it would take me a lot longer. Of course I could care less, because it takes me much longer to decide on a title to watch anyways!
