Disney Afternoon Cartoons. Is Disney Dropping the Ball?

Just curious what other people's opinions are concerning some of the Disney Afternoon cartoon DVD sets possibly not being fulfilled? Will they suffer the same fate as the Gargoyles series?

Gummi Bears (my favorite) last release: 11/14/2006 (still no word on vol. 2, worried about this one the most)

Rescue Rangers last release: 11/14/2006 (still no word on vol. 3. Only 14 episodes left which is kind of a weird number for another volume)

Darkwing Duck last release: 8/7/2007 (still no word on vol. 3. Should have heard something by now)

Ducktales last release: 11/13/2007 (still early, most likely will be released)

Talespin last release: 11/13/2007 (still early, who knows)

If Disney doesn't come through especially on Gummi Bears and Darkwing Duck, I will boycott!!!

You are going to boycott something that isn't released?

This was an excellent thread to keep track of these items. I hope Cheato will update with any future posts.

I too, am waiting for Ducktales and Darkwing Duck, but I haven't gotten worried yet. If I remember, there was quite a wait between Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 of Ducktales.

I'm sure Disney/ABC will miss your money.

Nope. Ducktales seems to be the only one sticking to a schedule.

Vol. 1: Nov. 2005
Vol. 2: Nov. 2006
Vol. 3: Nov. 2007

I have no doubt Vol. 4 will be out this Nov. I imagine this series sells better than the rest. While I enjoy Gummi Bears, I doubt sales of it are all that spectacular. Just a gut feeling, nothing really to go on. That's the only other one I care about at any rate.

The Tick is in there too, although not a Disney Afternoon show, it was released at the same time the last two August's. And only one season left!

My problem with The Tick is they are leaving off episodes. So guys like me won't but them. Add in about 100,000 more people like me that won't buy it, then stuff stops getting released. Do it right the first time and you will get my money.

I'd like volume sets of Aladdin & Goof Troop. I know they had that Goof Troop DVD out not long ago with like 3 episodes, but I want volume sets damnit! And yes I'd like to know if they will continue releasing Rescue Rangers & Darkwing Duck.

Looks like I jinxed it above. Has any word been mentioned about DuckTales vol. 4? They have come out regularly the past three years but no sign volume 4 thus far.
