The Bank Job --- July 15

From DVD Active:
Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced 1-disc ($29.99) and 2-disc special editions ($34.98) of The Bank Job which stars Jason Statham, and Saffron Burrows. The Roger Donaldson directed film will be available to own from the 15th July. The 1-disc release will carry both anamorphic widescreen and full screen presentations, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. As far as we know, no extra material will be included. The 2-disc release will include featurettes and extended scenes plus a digital copy of the feature film. A Blu-ray edition will also be available for $39.99 with all of the 2-disc features.

I haven't seen this yet, but I'm dying to. I heard it was excellent. Definitely looking forward to this DVD.

Good film, but be aware that the advertisements (which make it look like a Transporter-esque balls to the wall action flick) are completely off base. It's a period heist movie.

One of the few movies I've seen at the theater in a long time. Very entertaining and a definite day one purchase for me.

I've heard many good things about this one. Statham is always on the fence with me. Some of his output is great, some is total shit. This one looks worthy of a blind buy.

Gonna buy the shit out of the Blu-Ray version of this. Very underrated movie, can't wait to own it. And I am an unabashed Statham lover.

For anyone who doesn't want to pay extra for the digital copy, Blockbuster has a one-disc version with all the special features minus the digital copy. I assume it's only for rent right now, but I would imagine it will be for sale in the previously viewed section in a couple weeks/months.

if it is a BBV "Exclusive" then they don't have all the extras. probably just deleted scenes, commentary and trailer. the featurettes are not on it as it custom with all BBV Eclusive titles. really pisses me off if i rent a movie i like and want more like with "The Hammer".
