And if you're going to boycott anyone who ever had someone die on their set, you might as well add such directors as Doug Liman, Wolfgang Petersen, Rob Cohen, John Woo and Alex Proyas. No picking and choosing allowed.

The real unforgivable sin is releasing a TV show with syndicated airings. There is absolutely no excuse for releasing any TV show with any syndicated airings. Fortunately, most of the shows that I want/have are released in their full, non-syndicated glory. The only shows off the top of my head that I will not buy until a proper release comes out is Alf and the Canadian versions of the Outer Limits (new series). I know there are others, though. Will and Grace comes to mind. |
Tim Burton, Wong Kar Wai and Sean Pean films.

EDIT: I see you were joking, didn't quite catch it until you mentioned Orson Welles. In that case, carry on. |
MATT MILLHEISER,
I never liked Tim Burton's style - the only two that I barely appreciate are Batman and Batman Returns. Wong Kar Wai is one of the worst directors ever. Here are my choices: a. watch a Wong Kar Wai film with bored-looking people standing around smoking cigerettes as if they are French actors, with neon lights and smoke machines blasting away in the background, and with no storyline. OR b. watch an Andrew Blake film with couples having sex, with neon lights and smoke machines blasting away in the background, and with no storyline. I would rather watch an Andrew Blake porno than a Wong Kar Wai film...Although I am excited to see the Ashes of Time Redux, which is probably the only Wong Kar Wai film that I would appreciate. |

Trust me, I understand what you're saying. But I'd much rather have the series released at all, rather than paying say $50 extra just so I can hear a snippet of "Tiny Dancer" during the Prom Scene in which Ernest Thodwhacker Accidentally Invited Two Girls To The Same Dance, blableebloogroin |

You're just not a fan of their work. That's like saying "I'm don't eat at Arby's because their food makes me queasy", as opposed to "I'm boycotting Arby's because their corporate owners are trying to clone Hitler." |

Same goes for Ming-liang Tsai, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Anh Hung Tran, etc. Ciao, Pro-B |
Pro-Bass...hahaha...I thought it would be "if it wasn't for Christopher Doyle, what kind of director would he be?"

I refuse to buy any of the WWE's DVDs that have theme music changes or blurring out of the 1998-2002 "WWF Attitude" logo. Does that count?
|
Yes. I boycott any DVD that is not Anamorphic.

I don't buy new DVD's with Tom Cruise, and if the movie for some reasons is worthing or I like the director (michael mann, steven spielberg as example), I buy it used in my local shop.
