Did Deep Discount sell me a bootlegged copy of Freaked?

The copy they shipped me has terrible cover art. Nowhere on the cover does it say Freaked. The artwork is the same for the cover and the back. There was insert, but there is a booklet. It is two discs. The cover on each disk looks very cheap also. I don't recall ever seeing a copy of Freaked that looked like this. Anyone know what's up?

I'm not at home to look at my copy, but I believe there was a clear slipcover that went over the case.

That's what mine looks like. Looks like I am going to need to find a way to get the cover.

They sent it without the slipcover. Same thing happened to me. I even opened it thinking the cover was reversible but the other side is blank. I need to contact them regarding an exchange.

This thread definitely needs pics in order for us to know for sure. While you're at it, attach a few pics of some hot chicks as well.

yeah that's exactly what it looks like. Why would DD sell it without the slip cover?

Just another reason why the practice of putting loose slipcovers on DVDs with no shrinkwrap on them is STUPID!

Maybe Anchor Bay, if you ask nicely, will be able to get you slips. Try finding a phone number and calling them.

Styrofoam cup.

I seriously doubt they'd do this, but it's worth a shot. If it were a more widespread release, I'd say go buy it from Best Buy and then bring the DD copy back, but then you'd have the hassle of getting all of Best Buy's stickers off of the slipcase.

With that company, nothing would surprise me.

That's funny. Ads for adult movies are fine but we have to secretly remove the picture of a woman with clothes showing some cleavage.

Sorry mods, I figured cleavage was okay here. I still say that DDD is simply shipping what they receive from the studios or whoever. Unless there's some malicious worker removing covers on his own time, it simply doesn't make any business sense to remove them before shipping them out to customers.

Has anyone had any luck in getting the slipcover from DD? I contacted them & NONE of the ones that they currently have in stock have slipcovers. They're allowing me to return it, but I'm gonna try & get one from Anchor Bay before I give up. I left a message for their customer service dept. Hopefully, they'll pull through.
