The Office: Season 4 (9/02/08)

I tried searching for an Office S4 dvd thread and could not find one, so if there is one out there, I apologize.

From tvshowsondvd.com:

The Office is back with even more inappropriate remarks, uncomfortable silences, and obnoxious behavior in the complete fourth season of the Primetime Emmy(R) Award-winning series! Steve Carell ("40 Year-Old-Virgin") is back in his Golden Globe(R)-winning role as Michael Scott, the clueless boss of the Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch who manages to create unending comical drama despite his best intentions. Trusty and loyal assistant-to-the-regional manager Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) continues to uphold the office honor as Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) find ways to meddle with him and encourage Michael's hysterics. Plus, see "wunder kid" Ryan (B.J. Novak) in his new role at corporate as he pushes the infinite limits of Dunder Mifflin, often pushing Michael to his limits as well.

BONUS CONTENT:

* DELETED SCENES
* GAG REEL
* OUTTAKES
* COMMENTARIES WITH CAST AND CREW:
o MONEY COMMENTARY - Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, Melora Hardin, Brian Baumgartner, Paul Lieberstein, Michael Schur, and Jennifer Celotta.

o THE DEPOSITION - Commentary with Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, Melora Hardin, Brian Baumgartner, Ed Helms, Lee Eisenberg, Lester Lewis, and Ryan Koh.
o DID I STUTTER? - Commentary with Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, Leslie David Baker, Kate Flannery, Justin Spitzer, Brent Forrester, Gene Stupnitsky, and Randall Einhorn.

Neither can I. I'm a little disappointed with the episodes they chose for commentary (where's the goodbye, toby commentary?) but I'm excited for the (rumored) 40-minute gag reel and the Did I Stutter table read-through. Gonna be zoppity.

Awesome. They should add an extra disc of just test patterns to represent how long we had to wait because of the writer's strike.

Disappointed that there are only four commentaries. It usually seems like there are more, at least a couple on each disc, but maybe I'm just remembering incorrectly. Can't wait for this though. Hopefully there is some more exclusive content at Target or elsewhere this time.

I will buy it release day if there are any cool extras at Target, Best Buy, etc. If not, I can wait as I caught it all on TV this year. Will pick up eventually though. Thanks for the post!

I guess I can spoiler this for you, it's a remark on the finale.
Spoiler:

All I know is if Pam dumps Jim in season 5 then I'm not watching this anymore.

That would be cool, I picked up the BB gift set on release day last year. I love the bobble head and dundie, great set.

FROM DVDACTIVE:

Final Hi-res artwork

Site for reference:

Initially I did not like the cover art. However it is growing on me. But, in this supposedly final artwork the spine is blue. The previously (rumored) artwork (see: first post) had a white spine. I would hope they would be consistent and keep the white spine to match with previous seasons. But that's just me.

EDIT: Just realized Season 2 doesn't have a white spine (unless slipcover is removed). So I guess it's not that much of an issue.

That's horribly photoshopped. All of the poses are taken from a wallpaper from the NBC site.

Previous seasons have seen the artwork change by the time the release date has rolled around. I wouldn't be surprised if this changed as well.

It's a promo shot from the first season. All they did was PhotoShop his Season 4 face (with the beard) to a shot of him from Season 1.

I'm honestly beginning to wonder if the cover art for all the seasons of this show is actually a concept, it's so bad. Maybe the idea is that Michael Scott used his amazing Photoshop skills to put together covers for each season.

Or at least, that's what I hope, because they're all terrible.

WB Jones should have been on the cover, since he's a grade-A badass.

You said it! Just once I'd like to see a composite image cover where there was only ONE light source, hitting everyone from the same position.

Yeah I'm thinking this isn't the final artwork. The sign for SCRANTON BUSINESS PARK just seems way too big. It looks like the artwork studios provide for retails ads - so it shows up better.

But that's just my opinion

I remember Season 3 had Prison Mike on the cover but by the time it was released, it was the exact same cover, minus Prison Mike's head attire, leaving him just plain old Michael. ... Didn't really matter though, as I got the Target exclusive in the brown paper bag packaging. Nifty Gifty!
