Anyone having problems with Blade Runner SD?
I have the Blade Runner 4-disc set and treat the discs like gold, although on occasion they pop out of their holders and I hear them rattling around in the case.
Disc 2 will not play anymore. Out of the blue. One day it was fine, the next, I can't even navigate the menu without skipping, pixelation and the player just bringing itself to a stop. Same thing just happened with Disc 1. Was watching it last night with no problem, today I can't even get past the FBI warning before it shits the bed.
I wonder if the packaging is faulty. I hate the way they stack the discs on top of each other with these little half-holders rather than each getting it's own secure spot in the box. Is the Blu-Ray packaged this way?

Have you check the physical condition of the disc itself? Check for dust and scratches.
Have you tried playing it on other player? If the problem is intermittent like you said... I would say that there are more possibility that it was your player had some sort of a hiccup (either faulty or just dirty/misaligned optics).
As for the BD package... fortunately they didn't stack the disc on top of each other (at least on the 5 disc version).

sounds like the player, not the discs.
