Need to unload my DVDs
Tax season killed me and I thought I could survive on selling some computer stuff to cover it, but I couldn't so my dvd collection has to go. What's the best place these days to unload it for the most buck all in one sweep?

Just curious, why in the world would you dump your entire DVD collection because of your tax bill? Are you currently employed? Is your income not enough to cover this? Do you have other debt in addition to this?

Check out-of-print stuff via Ebay (search "DVD OOP" or something like that), then New Town Video .com.
The latter often pays great prices for rare titles. You might earn more on Ebay, but you also might not, plus you'd have potentially more parcels to ship, people to deal with, etc.

Take on a 2nd job to pay the tax bill and keep the collection (you'll regret selling it.) Liquidating assets seems silly to me as you will never get anything close to what you paid for them.

Adrenaline,
I had to sell my collection several years ago for a serious financial crisis, and I regret doing it every single day. I'm being rather aggressive with my re-collecting now, but I lost so many titles I should have kept.
Be cautious about what you sell. Don't sell your Warner Brother's 2-disc sets, and anything which is more expensive to get today or stuff you really like which cannot be obtained unless you buy it used.
If you have a shitload of DVDs, then you can probably sell 50% of it or even 65% of it, and still have a kick-ass collection to improve on when things get better.
