Has Buena Vista ever released an anamorphic transfer of "Sister Act"?

I really like the movie & am looking for an anamorphic transfer from any region.

I have an all region DVD player.

Thanks for the help. I've looked everywhere but have been unable to find any info on it.

Disney is sitting on a goldmine of catalog movies & seems to have completely forgetten about them. I wish they'd realize what kind of money they could make putting out quality anamorphic releases of something other than the animated classics. The only thing they put out is a few new releases & direc to video shit like Baby Einsteins, Hannah Montanas and the like.

I'm still waiting for Region 1 Anamorphic releases of Good Will Hunting, Armageddon, Dick Tracy, Three Men and a Baby, and several others from BV.

Dick Tracy IS anamorphic in region 1, even if the packaging doesn't make it very clear....100% definitely 16x9 enhanced, go ahead and pick it up with no fear...

Sister Act defenitly needs an anamorphic transfer and so do a few other Buena Vista titles. But it doesnt affect me if a movie is non-anamorphic because I watch them on a 52" fullscreen tv but the only time it does affect me is when I go on trips with my 7" portable dvd player and it has a 16.9 screen so I have to watch movies that are Anamorphic or else I have to watch it in 4.3 mode which doesnt look good on the DVD player. So all in all this movie DEFENITLY needs an anamorphic transfer!

It may suck in the extras department, but at least we struck gold with a good transfer and amazing DTS sound.

at this point I'd think Disney would have done an anamorphic version, since a HiDef transfer has been done and been airing as such on Showtime HD (I think, I watched it recently, but can't recall which cable channel it was).

If you're ever wondering about a Buena Vista title's anamorphicness, head to DVDempire and see if it's in a double feature, because on the DF packagings they always say "Enhanced for 16x9 TVs" and even if you don't want the DF the discs inside are identical to existing discs.

Grosse Pointe Blank, please.
