Has anybody seen both DVDs (Criterion and Homevisions) of the Double Life of Veronique? I'd like to get the film during DVD Planet's sale, but I'm not sure whether I want to pay the criterionly price for the Criterion version if the Home Vision DVD looks good. Neither DVD Beaver nor DVD Compare has the Home Vision version in their comparisons.
Anyone have any info?
Thanks!

I'm not terribly interested in the extras (or extras in general) and I don't need to have an absolutely pristine picture - I just want to know whether the picture and sound quality are OK on the other edition.Originally Posted by Seashellz

Blind buy?
I searched and couldn't find anything either. However...
I have not seen the Homevision DVD but, since CC used a new high-definition transfer, I'm going to say that there's no way that it looks as good as the Criterion. The packaging is beautiful, the insert is a 64 page book and you get a disc full of extras... It is a no-brainer and worth every penny.
