The prices on all these editions are way too high. If the 2-disk drops to around $10 I might be interested.

Wow, that limited edition sounds fantastic, but way too expensive. I want the Blu-Ray, I'm glad to see Burton is doing a commentary.

BobSchlapowitz 06-02-08 11:02 PM

33 Bucks??? On a side note, why does every movie have to come with this "Digital Copy" bullshit?

wow, a new commentary! so the previous one is history? What no inclusion of the short film 'Frankenweenie' - hmmmm.

correction, according to this posting 'Frankenweenie' IS on the new SE

2-disc for around $10? I think we're asking a little much. It is perfectly reasonable for a 2-disc SE of a movie to cost $15-$20, which it almost undoubtedly will when it actually appears in stores. $25 for standard-def SE is pushing it, though.

I am surprised they included Frankenweenie. I figured it was being left off cause Burton is adapting it to feature-length and it would end up an extra on that DVD.

I'm picking up the 2-disc on release day for sure as I missed out on the last release

Giles 06-03-08 12:10 PM

I think this is release number six I'll be (re)purchasing this film.

basaro 06-03-08 02:19 PM

Cool. Something to put on the xmas list. For me it will be the Nightmare ON Christmas ;)
Finally anamorphic

Just give me the damn movie on BD...that's all I ask!!!

Giles 06-03-08 02:52 PM

I wonder what end credit crawl they'll use - the Starz HD airings have the original crawl whereas the 3D version has added illustrations.

Great news!! Thanks OP.

Since the old commentary starts off with something to the effect of "this was not a disney movie"

I'll hold on to the old release for that alone

thank you. thank you very much.

MrStayPuft 08-05-08 08:33 PM

I'm having a hard time judging the size of the bust. Is it like the Planet of the Apes head?

pretty close. just use the disc in the photo to judge the size

Chad 08-05-08 09:23 PM

That bust will be mine.

kstublen 08-05-08 10:27 PM

I can really feel myself going back and forth on the bust. $120 is really damn expensive, I'll probably need to check it out in person before I make my final decision.

gryffinmaster 08-05-08 11:49 PM

Wow. That's really cool. If the DVDs/BDs would have come with their standard keepcase in the packaging -- and Jack was just a hair smaller -- I might have considered biting on this.
