Preparing DVD (and CD) collection for a 1200 mile move...

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum to bring up this question, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

In about 2 weeks, I'm going to be loading up a U-Haul and moving south to Austin, TX. My greatest concern, however, is safely transporting my rather large DVD and CD collection. Currently, everything is stored in a number of plastic, lidded bins. What I'm scared of is the potential for the inside of the moving truck to get extremely hot, resulting in warped discs, melted glue on digipacks, and/or an overall ruined collection. So does anyone here have any suggestions as to how I can best protect these things during the move? Should I even be worried about this? Any answers would be much appreciated.

Do you have any idea how those things get to the store in the first place? Just pack them in cardboard boxes or Rubbermaid tubs. Double box them if you're paranoid. They'll be fine.*
