i agree, i don't think the IYH or the lower tier ppvs will get Anthology releases.

Summerslam is being released in a couple of weeks and the next will be Survivor Series followed by most probably King of the Ring.

I would also love if they released the SNME episodes in a boxset from 1985-1992 like how television shows are released.

As for the Tagged Classics, i read Silvervision are the ones releasing the discs and not WWE. The actual packaging has the WWE logo but the events are unblurred and have all the right theme musics that were dubbed in the North American anthology releases.

Its still strange how UK and Europe are exempt from the lawsuit.

That's all true, but the dvds are direct transfers of the old Silvervision vhs tapes. So some of the quality isn't that good.

according to WWEshop.com the only extras for Great American Bash are:

Home Video Exclusives
Edge is Gonna Pay
Kane needs to know

again, WWE has skimped on the extras for ppvs. They need to put better extras on their ppvs.

They could have included the JBL limo smash with Cena and Cryme Tyme or other stuff like the 4 Way match from RAW where Kane went crazy.

I remember the GAB 2005 DVD had the Sting/Flair match from GAB 90 which was probably the only reason to buy that dvd (other than being a completist). They could have put a classic match from GAB from the WCW/NWA period.

Yeah...they should do that with all of their ppv's that turn out to be real stinkers. It would give people more incentive to buy them.

I remember WWE released Vengeance 2006 as a two-disc set, with bonus matches and extra segments, it was really cool. I would have bought it, except that the show was god-awful (Umaga vs. Eugene, Kane vs. "Imposter" Kane, John Cena vs. Sabu, The Spirit Squad in the main event), but if WWE released mediocre ppvs with those kind of features, I would surely buy them.

i am surprised less than a week before release, people haven't been able to acquire the Summerslam Anthology. I could have bought it last week but Best Buy could ring up the sale because it has a strict street date.

I remember last year couple of people were able to get the Royal Rumble Anthology couple weeks before.

Hey, I'm not sure if I read it here or somewhere else, but I heard that the "Night of Champions 2008" DVD actually does NOT have CM Punk's world title win. Can anyone confirm this?

Because aside from the ECW Title 3-way and HHH/Cena II, I have no real reason to pick this up.

Does anyone happen to have an expiration date for the Borders promo? I don't get paid until Friday and wanted to know if it'd still be usable then.

I did a quick scan of the disc and didn't see it. They've got JR's farewell speech but it ends before any action begins.

I'm pretty sure the 40% will be dead by then, if it's not already. Keep an eye on this thread however as coupons get posted there often.

That's amazingly stupid. The biggest swerve WWE pulls in years, and they put the segment where J.R. is talking?!? No lie, I was seriously prepared to pick this up on account of Punk's win. No dice.

i agree, the complete segment deserved to be included and its not going to be included on the GAB dvd, so not exactly sure what they are saving it for.

This "Edge is Gonna Pay" segment....unless i missed something on SD!, it could be possible this segment is Batista kicking his ass the night after Night of Champions and then CM Punk cashing in.

The Edge is Gonna Pay thing is from last weeks Smackdown when Vickie announced he's fighting the Undertaker at SummerSlam

Here are some recent additions to my collection including the WWE 20 disc Summerslam Anthology. I forgot to resize the images and they are pretty big but hopefully this won't matter as there aren't really that many images. Next time I will post the images as thumbnails, but anyway I hope you enjoy the pics.

Amazing pics of the SummerSlam Anthology! I'm getting the last volume (2003-2007) and I was wondering is Chris Benoit's name listed in the packaging?

WE NEED BIGGER PICTURES! They simply aren't BIG enough! Don't worry about shrinking them... like in wrestling, BIGGER IS BETTER!

I'm impressed Sabu made the Summerslam DVD art. That's gotta be a career highlight for him.

Agreed! Plus if everyone could repost the huge pics over and over again in quotes, that would be great.

is it just me or is the cover art on the individual volumes different than advertised even on the outside of the box/cooler?
