Wasn't Three O'Clock High part of the previous High School Reunion Collection? Sounds like this time around it's strictly a John Hughes extravaganza.

I've got the High School Reunion Collection box set with the three movies plus the HD DVD of Breakfast Club. Those extra's aren't enticing me to buy the locker box. I'll jump on the Blu-rays, if we see them.

I'll pass on these. I'm perfectly happy with the HSR editions.
Nice to know Universal will re-release these films over and over again, but we STILL can't get Phantasm II. Fuckers.

It would be nice to see some of the extra scenes (for example, the scene in the cafeteria that's always shown when the movie is aired on TV), along with the trailer (weird that it's not listed, although the others do list it), though.

There had been initial word that others (such as Fast Times...) were going to be released as "High School Reunion Collection" titles as well, but they never materialized

I already have the Brat Pack Collection version, but if the locker packaging looks cool I'll be a lemming and triple dip (had BC and WS, then sold them for the double dip on the collection). I'm a sucker for cool packaging, and try to support it whenever I can in order to encourage more innovative designs.

Third release....
These movies are getting their third release, yet there is still no release for The Incredible Shrinking Woman and Howard the Duck.
Come on Universal. Give us these lost 80's gems!!!!

Again, give it to me on Blu. I want to hear Dick Vernon yelling in lossless audio and see Bill Paxton's shit-mound in HD!
And I love Three O'Clock High. As I've said before, if John Hughes made After Hours, it would be this movie.

I'm so glad I continued to hold out. While the extras are not super great, they're certainly good enough for me. I'll also buy the boxset if it's pretty cheap.

I was at Best Buy and Circuit City today trying to but Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club with no luck. I thought these would be easy to find. Turns out that they are not coming out until 9/16. Funny, I was checking prices last week (Thursday) and they were still listed as coming out today. I wonder why they changed the date at the last minute without announcing it.

I managed to score the whole "High School Flashback Collection" at Blockbuster yesterday for $30. These editions aren't jam-packed by any means:
-No participation from John Hughes, or Molly Ringwald for her two movies (AMH appears, though).
-At first glance, the scenes added in the TV versions (the cafeteria scene in Sixteen Candles, sneaking past Vernon at the vending machine in The Breakfast Club) aren't included.
With that said, they're certainly better than the barebones editions we had before.
The entire documentary is about 38 minutes long. Along with the 93 minute movie, figure about 131 minutes total. I don't think it would be pushing to add a two minute trailer onto the disc, or at least the cafeteria scene (which wasn't more than a minute and a half/two minutes at the most).
