After the April 22 release of Mae West's She Done Him Wrong - the second film she made for Paramount and the one credited with saving Paramount from bankruptcy (!) - will Universal release any other Mae West titles?

They really ought to produce a decent documentary of Miss West's life and career but knowing Universal we'lll get nothing other than a trailer as an extra!

All the other titles were released in the Mae West box from 3 years ago and My Little Chikadee is in the 1st WC Fields boxset....

I'd still like to know if "she" was actually a "he!"

Although on the commentary on the Myra B DVD Raquel Welch ( the bitch ! ) said she thought Mae looked like " a dockworker in drag" when they met at a pre - production meeting for Myra B - I'm sure that Mae was all woman!

I'd love to see the Backlot USA TV Special out on DVD with Mae interviewed by Dick Cavett or as an extra - but I'm wondering that as John Wayne was also featured that his family will be holding out for high royalty repeat fees?

Has anyone bought and watched this DVD She Done Him Wrong yet? Can't wait for my copy - are there any extras on there?

I so wish Universal had given Warner Bros the rights to
Mae West's output , as Warners are so good at remastering/putting great extras together for their titles!!

Backlot USA with the great Dick Cavett with Mae interviewed by Cavett and singing two songs would have made a really great extra I wonder who owns the rights these days? Hope eventually Shout DVD will get this one out on DVD!!

Still no DVD Talk review of this classic West title I'm disappointed!

Ms. (Mr.?) West did an album called "Way Out West." Were the two songs from that? I think one title recorded was "Day Tripper." I bet that was a hoot!
