I have no ethical qualms about recommending that you can watch the webisodes via alternate means.
I do recommend watching them, they really help the story.

My wife and I watched disc 1, then watched the webisodes on disc 2 and said "oh, so that kinda fills in the blanks on that and that", and then continued with the eps on disc 2.
The webisodes are good to see, but not completely necessary to the story. Helpful, but not required.
NetFlix users should NOT go out of their way to rent Disc 2, then Disc 1, then Disc 2 again in order to see these in "correct" order, IMHO. You'll survive the wait.

I agree with David Lambert.
Also, when you get to disc three, you might not want to use the 'play all' feature. I wish I would have just watched the extended episode first and maybe the short one later, I had no interest in watching them back to back.
