Transformers G1 Seasons Re-release?
Hi Guys,
I know they released the entire Transformers G1 tin in China. But I don't really want to import and was wondeing if anyone knew if they Rhino planned on re-releasing the season sets in the U.S? I really don't feel like paying an arm and a leg for the OOP sets unless I have to.
Thanks.

No Rhino won't be doing it....I think Sony owns the rights now. And it is any body's guess when that will happen.

Not sure how much you're willing to pay, but the R4 Australian release is awesome.

It's out of stock there, but there are a few on ebay or maybe other sites I don't know of. I paid around $140 for mine, which is pretty good for all the seasons, IMO.

It is not Blu. To my knowledge it will not play in the PS3, only on a region free player. I have an Oppo for that purpose. They are excellent upconverting players as well as being region free.
I sold my R1 sets on Ebay for over $400 last year whehn the awful live action movie came out. I think the price is still up there, so there's no realy way to get them cheap. I beleive you can actually get them cheaper by importing at this point. Of course that's assuming you have a region free player.

Thanks guys but the only DVD players I own are a PS3 and a Toshiba A2. I never went out and purchased a region free player. So I'm kinda stuck unless I spend money on a player and the set or the PS3 gets a region free update.
