Okay, now I'll get back on topic so the mods stay happy: ...DVDs are round and shiny and awesome! :D2: |

Now that they've released all of the "In Your House" pay-per-views as tagged classics, does anyone know if they plan on releasing them in the states possibly as a box set like Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble & Summerslam? I would hate to imagine how much blurring those dvds would have. Appreciate any info ya'll might have.

A SummerSlam anthology is being released this August, I'm assuming in one giant box-set and then in four seperate sets of five.

Going back to the old Tagged Classics debate, they are merely VHS re releases on a DVD with no extras unless the original VHS or DVD release contained extras. I would probably say there is a slim chance of any In Your House style DVD box set at present and I suspect WWE will concentrate on releasing a Survivor Series and perhaps King Of The Ring DVD set in the future. |
Technically, the very last ppv with any hints of the "IYH" in the title was "Backlash" in 1999, which had the "IYH" after the main title.
|
The last In Your House was Backlash 1999. So soon we should see Fully Loaded 1999 come with Unforgiven 1999 etc, unless they do Fully Loaded 1999/2000, Unforgiven 1999/2000 and so on.
We will have to wait and see though. Off topic here but does anyone want a original WWF DVD of Royal Rumble 2001? My mate gave me his copy and I already have it, I'm currently looking for Judgment Day 2001 on DVD. PM me if interested |

Milestone Series is complete for me now I just bought it in a large lot and paid what worked out to about 20-30 dollars for it. Still a good deal, but it's funny that I was whining about needing that one for so long and then it shows up again. Maybe Gabe at ROH could hear me complaining through telepathy... |

Milestone Series is complete for me now It seems like those are the only 2 titles they brought back, I believe At Our Best was OOP for a while as well. They mentioned something in there business update that they were re-releasing some long OOP titles. I hope Final Battle '05, Fate of an Angel and New Frontiers make there way back. |
ROH has a 15-20% off sale on too. I'm thinking of grabbing some more 2002 shows as they are already 15 bucks at regular price and then 20% off would help...
ROH owns me... |

ROH owns me... Yeah just finished ordering a few from 2002 and Arena Warfare. Unfortunately the last 3 that I need for 2002 are all OOP. |
holy shit, arena warfare and the show after that for me. From reviews i have read its a 1 match show w/ Shelley and Dragon too, but hell, ive wanted to see that show for a while. Hell, since my milestone collection is now complete, now i get to watch all of them back to back!
Aand i just spurged on a buy 3 get one free w/ the 2 orlando shows, the first anniversery show (mainly to see what the hyped riot was about) and death before dishonor 1 which has the one and (thankfully) only apperience of Jeff Hardy botching spots left and right and all of the fans booing the hell out of him. |
the first anniversery show (mainly to see what the hyped riot was about) |

Although, Joe does punch some fan pretty hard...lol The DVD is worth owning. The London/Ki/AJ match is a lot of fun! |
Wrestlemania 24
as for WM23, is the 3-Disc-Set the Limited Edtion in Tin or will there be 2 different version be available besides the 2-Disc BlueRay?

So the regular DVD is widescreen. Weird.
|
Wow, even the DVD for Wrestlemania is in Widescreen. Finally! Plus, what are the odds of Backlash coming out on Blu-Ray?
|
Nice pics. Is it just me, or does the text on the back of WM 24 look like it was printed on CD-cover-making software? I like the gold brim at the top, too.
The "tagged classics" are a nice surprise for us in the states (especially since they're not exclusive to K-mart), but I wish they'd started with higher quality events. If this was RR and NWO from 2002, I'd be sold. But RR '03 was good only for Angle/Benoit, and NWO '03 was good only for Rock/Hogan II. Backlash '03 was one of the laziest shows I'd ever seen (Goldberg/Rock had marquee value, but it was slow), and the less said about Judgment Day '03, the better. |
Congratulations, shacmasta! Have you watched the Hall of Fame yet? Are the 4 hour intact? Thanks in advance.
|
The entire Hall of Fame is included.
The tin case also looks very cool in person, although there is no sticker indicating that it is an exclusive. There is a slip over part that is similar to the Royal Rumble tin, that features the same basic cover as the reg. dvd. |
