WWE had few months before they had to blur out the scratch logo (which i think started to blur around fall of 2002)

I remember HHH: The Game, nWo: Back in Black and Hollywood Hogan 2 disc set were released in that timeframe and they didn't blur out the logo.

Found ECW Bloodsport and Best of Christian Cage used this week for nice cheap prices.

Here's what I need for TNA to finish my set:

Best of AJ Vol. 2
Best of Abyss
Best of Jeff Hardy
Best of AMW
Best of 3LK
No Surrender 2006

I also need Best of 2007 and Against All Odds 2008, but they just came out, so they'll be easy to grab.

Has anyone ordered from them before? At that price, I would love to order the dvd from them but only if they are reliable.

Talk about a steal......just now while browsing on EBAY, I came across a mint copy of King of the Ring 2001 dvd for a Buy It Now Price of..................$29 :) Quickly, I compared prices at amazon and half.com and this was the cheapest deal I found. Needless to say, I jumped at that chance and now only need Backlash and Judgment Day to complete my 2001 dvd set.

It's reputable even though I haven't ordered from them before, although some reports from the DVD Bargains forum say their shipping can be a bit wonky at times.

Wow, the Attitude 12 DVD boxset just went for £245 ($486) on Ebay!

JCWBobC 04-26-08 11:12 AM

The Attitude set is just the VHS commercial releases converted to DVD without menus or extras, from what I remember reading when they were released, so it's hard to believe people are paying that much for them. I remember I kept seeing them in Best Buy for a long time and passing on them because I had all the VHS tapes already.

ROH still has 30% off everything on their site right now. I've been avoiding it so I don't bankrupt myself...lol.

I'm so close to finishing TNA that I need to do that before I buy more ROH. Although I really want to finish The Milestone Series before getting more ROH. I only need Better Than Our Best and Arena Warfare to complete the set. I swear DVDs that make a "spine picture" when you line them up on a shelf are going to be the death of me.

dadaluholla 04-26-08 05:08 PM

espin, ROH's Fifth Year Festival (6 shows) also makes a nice little spine picture, do you have those as well?

I do not kid.

<i>Mod note: link to ebay auction removed as per rules</i>

JCWBobC 04-26-08 07:33 PM

I hope you didn't think I was calling you a liar as I was just surprised that someone would pay that much for them. I guess for people that didn't have access to the tapes back then and want the footage it would be worth it to get the DVDs at whatever price they had to pay.

Yeah, that was an amazing match. But then it was followed by Triple H/Steiner... :(

NOOOOOOO! Why did you tell me that! :suicide:

I swear the disease that I have that attracts me to "spine pictures" is going to triple my DVD collection...lol!

Actually, I heard that "Fifth Year Festival: Finale" was a great show, so I was considering getting it anyways, and if that means I have to buy the rest to complete the spine picture, so be it!

My bad. Triple H/Steiner came on before Angle/Benoit. I think they knew they had to up their came because of that stinkfest.

Matt Hardy signing dvds

Well I just caught the news that Matt Hardy will be near me come May 11th in Beavercreek Ohio for a signing at FYE. Never been to one of these signings before...and had some questions. Do you buy the dvd there or can you buy it cheaper at Walmart and bring that copy? How far in advance do you have to show up? Are you allowed to take a picture with the wrestler? Just wanted a little prep before I go. Thanks.

You have to buy the DVD at the store that's holding the signing and keep the receipt. It all depends on how popular the person is and how well the event has been promoted....I'd think you could expect a few hundred fans there....so you might want to get there an hour or 2 early. In Hardy's case...I'd be willing to bet he'd be pleased to take a picture with you...but it all depends on the person...and how long the line is. Good luck, Jon...have fun....and post the pictures!

yep, finale is great. Hell you even get to see Jimmy Rave pre guitar hero tna fool. Also the briscoes have a great match against each other, and Joe has his final roh match against Homicide.

also yes its a shitty picture, but here's what the picture looks like when you have all 6 lined up

nice ROH collection Rypro. The only kinda-ROH dvd I own is Before They were Superstars: CM Punk which is just the best of Punk in FIP. I plan on picking up the 2 commercial releases as soon as I can find them in stores, I don't have a CC and don't plan on getting one anytime soon, so my DVD purchases are made in stores and that can severly handicap my indy wrestling collection

When it comes to signings you have to ask fellow dvdtalk member class316 since he's regurarly attends events signings. As per my knowledge in DVD signings you have to buy the dvd on the said store (FYE) as well you'll receive a neon bracelet as pass for the said DVD signing event.

as per Matt Hardy he's a very approachable and friendly guy (as he signs everything you feed him) even if he's totally drunk IMO :D

here's matt is w/ me & my friend skribbel24 years ago, bar hopping in manila...

Best online price is Family Video. $16.48 + $0.99 shipping and no tax (at least for me)

I ordered the Hardys DVD from them on Friday and I got it yesterday.

EdTheRipper 04-29-08 07:16 PM

I just received an e-mail newsletter from TNA. In it, they offer a promo code for free shipping on any order placed on their site. It's US only but still a good deal given how expensive their shipping is.

"We want not only for everyone to enjoy reading these notes, but also for everyone to save some money on the things that they want. I can’t help with the gas prices, but I can offer deals through our store. So please visit the store and on your next order enter the coupon code 23866 and we’ll take care of the domestic shipping*. That’s right free shipping, anywhere in the US, via FedEx tracked to your door."

Yep, that was enough for me to finally get Global Impact. I think I'll be happy with it.
