A lot of critics were ambivalent about it, but this movie has grown on me immensely since I first saw it, and I now consider it one of my absolute favorites of last year. (And, if it's possible, I like it even more than the book, though I'm not sure that I can explain why that is.)

This is a release day buy for me.

Really would want to see this. I'll have to rent it first.

I'd rent this to hear what Forster have to say about the film, but the movie on the whole was pretty average IMO.

As successful as the novel was, the studio didn't do a very good job promoting "The Kite Runner." I saw the theatrical trailer a grand total of one time. It looked decent, but I forgot all about its release.
