World Series on dvd.
I dont see a thread about Baseball on dvd but i think people are aware of the Red Sox world series on dvd and a few more.
On April 29th - The Arizona Diamondbacks 2001 World Series Collector's Edition is coming out and on March 25th - Los Angeles Dodgers 1988 World Series Collector's Edition is coming out. We really need some more Sports themed dvds coming out.

http://www.amazon.com/Arizona-Diamon...2386150&sr=1-7
The first page and a bit lists all of the world series dvds currently available.

Detroit Tigers 1984 would be nice. But these sets look sweet. I am not a fan of the teams out now, but as a baseball fan, I would buy these.

Even though it didn't end the way i'd have liked it to (and i'd have to watch those assclowns Schilling and Johnson), i'll bite on the Diamondbacks set.

I have been waiting for a 1988 Dodgers disc for years. According to Amazon it only contains 7 games, I am curious as to what games from the postseason are omitted

THE DRAMATIC 1988 NLCS GAME 4, THE PENNANT-CLINCHING GAME 7, AND ALL FIVE WORLD SERIES GAMES AGAINST THE OAKLAND ATHLETICS
So you can figure out from that which games will be missing.

Pretty cool sets coming out.
I went to the NLCS, Game 4 at Shea. Everything got quiet when Scoscia hit the game-tying 2-run HR in the 9th off Gooden.
As for the 2001 World Series - even though I'm not a fan of either team, I thought it had everything that a WS should have. The home team won every game, the game tying HR's off Byung-Hyun Kim, great pitching, and of course the dramatic ending.

Re: World Series on dvd.
Will MLB ever release blu ray sets of the complete games for the World Series?
I was hoping for a 2010 SF Giants World Series Collectors Edition set with all the complete games on Blu-ray.
