She went from a 10 to a 7 because she lost the weight and her breasts.
And the theater lobbies they had a cutup cardboard of her on the horse rocking the image back & forth. Did anybody see this too back then?

I work nights at Wal*Mart on the maintenance crew. I was hired as a cashier, but one of the maintenance guys has been out for several months for cancer treatments and I've been filling in. Our shift runs from 10pm to 7am. Generally, most of us arrive about 30 minutes before our shift begins. In our lounge, we have a TV with a DVD player and VCR player built-in. A few nights ago we watched Career Opportunities (with the help of our two 15 minute breaks and one hour lunch) and everyone loved it. Good times.
I wish we had a manager like John Candy and that women like Jennifer Connelly would roam our store.

If Abbots could be considered a comedy (IMO it is) that would be the one.
I would love to see the movie Some Girls come to DVD. With Dempsey's current stardom I'm surprised it hasn't happened.

Career Opportunities on Blu Ray June 22 !!!
Announcement below !
Jennifer Connelly should look splendid on Blu Ray !
I hope they interview Jennifer Connelly or run a commentary.
I just wish they had filmed the roller skating scene in 3 D

I'm guessing there won't by any special features, alas. Let's hope Kino does the movie justice with a decent transfer.

Re: Career Opportunities (1991, Jennifer Connelly)
Why is the current DVD so grainy ? How did they do the transfer, off the laserdisc ?
The image is small with borders, poor resolution, I guess the DVD was suited for the tube tvs of the 90s.
I watch the DVD on laptop, the res is so poor you can't even read the letters on the nametag CD Marsh is wearing !
