So, a few months ago, I ordered Oliver Stone's "Nixon" from Amazon. To my horror, it was non-anamorphic wide-screen.

Is there an anamorphic widescreen "Nixon" somewhere, and I just picked the bum one?

I'm pretty sure Stone filmed this in 2:35. Been a long time since I've seen it but more than likely you got the shitty version.

Yeah, it's 2.35. Is there an anamorphic version in existence, is what I'm asking. If there is, I'll purchase it. Or wait for blu-ray, I guess. Or something.

I don't think there has been a R1 anamorphic release of the movie yet, mine certainly isn't

None that I know of. I think it was one of Disney's rumored Blu-Ray releases this yr... and if "Bush" does indeed come out, I'm sure we'll see a SE of this one.

I was pretty sure the copy of nixon from netflix was anamporphic but I could be wrong.

I got one from Netflix as well and thought the same.

According to DVD Compare, only the R2 Dutch and R4 Brazil are anamorphic....
