are there any differences in the 'movie' as compared to the standalone episodes?

Yeah, I'd like to know as well. So far, the only differences I've heard is that it's full-screen and runs as one "movie" instead of 3 episodes. Right now, it is sounding like one of the worst "bonuses" in recent memory. What is the benefit to having an extra disc that repeats the content already in the set, but full frame? Unless the show as just cropped and it the first 3 eps were meant to be full frame...

I really want to not want that bonus disc - the BB exclusive packaging sounds cool.

There is a ton of info on this set and the Best Buy exclusive at he-man.org.

The artist for the box visits the site and posts in the forums as well as a rep from BCI so you can get more info there.

Here is a link to the post by BCI guy regarding the defective disc 1:
http://he-man.org/forums/boards/show...8&postcount=53

It's a good site for any he-man related info. No, I'm don't run the site, but I am a member on the forum.

Did they have a lot in stock? I'm going straight to BB after work to pick one up.

my best buy had at least 9 or 10 left at 5:50pm, so I'd imagine they've all gotten plenty if you plan on buying today.

On a side note, holy hell, the box is cool. I didn't realize that it was continuation of the spine art from the earlier he-man/she-ra releases.

I passed on the target trip and just went to best buy for the slipcase. I've double dipped many a time depending on the exclusive, but the more time went by yesterday and reading reports that the bonus disc was just the first 3 episodes played all the way through w/o interruption. I figured it's not worth another 20 bucks. Unless someone reports it having some other amazing extra.

So all Disc Ones that have been released are defective? I just got the BB exclusive with the slipcase. Had to ask them to get one from the back since the only one left on the floor was pretty banged up.

Anybody else notice lines and jaggies? It really stands out when there's a lot of red on screen. I'm not sure if this is because I've been watching HD stuff and now I notice things like that, or if it's just a bad transfer.

You might just receive your disc in the mail without receiving an email back from them first. I've got quite a bit of confidence in BCI because my copy of The Loreley's Grasp was missing the booklet that should've come with it. I emailed on a Tuesday and the booklet was in a padded mailer in my mailbox that Friday. They seem like they have pretty good customer service.

Has anyone just called for a free replacement disc withought having bought the set? I'm on the fence about buying it. Wouldn't mind a free preview first.

Your "free preview" was on television when it aired. I figured you would have to send in your disc for a replacement, but I guess not.

Just sent an e-mail to them. There's one guy at He-Man.Org where he said he got duplicates of disc 2. Anybody open theirs already? I haven't gotten around to opening mine yet, might do so over the weekend.

Oh man, I thought I was the only one! The lines are only visible on anything that is red. What the heck is that about?

Yeah, but that was a few years ago and I don't remember it all that well.

I agree the distorted lines that are only visible on anything that is red is very distracting.
