More Pinky ..coming from Media Blasters!!

Delinquent Girl Boss: Blossoming Dreams

Girl Boss Revenge

Considering the utter navigational madness that the Media Blasters site is, does anyone know what other Pinku titles Media Blasters has picked up that are expecting a release this year?

Looking very forward to seeing Oshida again though I have serious doubts about how she's actually going to look. Based on MB's transfer history I have a feeling that these DVDs are going to be sloppy (not in a good way) and p/q will be poor. I much rather see another Panik House/Synapse combo release similar to the Poisonous Seductress and/or the Pinky Violence series. You couldn't ask for better release. They seriously set the bar high for Pinku Eiga releases and I hope MB doesn't fuck it up.

Btw - IMDB has the OAR listed as 2.35:1 but Amazon is full frame. Can anyone confirm? Otherwise, I'll need to wait for street before picking these up .. if at all.

Sweet news! I'm a huge fan of Pinky Violence films, so anything new is a welcomed addition to my collection. Too bad Synapse isn't doing these, since they do amazing work, but I'll be happy just to have them... assuming they are OAR, of course.

i've spent the holiday period having a similar argument over these terms elsewhere - more specifically about the use of 'roman porno' being applied to work done by companies other than nikkatsu.

even though someone has edited the wikipedia entry on roman porno to include 'pinky violence' as a park of pink films / pinku eiga. i suspect this is a confusion caused by recent dvd releases and discussion of them; if it comes ultimately from that 1999 japanese book on toei bad girl films and panik house's application of it after they used the book to pick out films. it's still given enough detail in the book and subsequent choices of licenses to differentiate it from the kind of stuff artsmagic released in their 'shocking pink' titles and the 'angel guts' set, as these are examples of both nikkatsu's pink film output and other pink film stuff from relatively more recent times.

'pinku eiga' (pink films) are very different in overall style - bar the simplistic element of the inclusion of flesh, and even this dominates in an entirely different manner - than 'pinky violence' films, which are essential teen gang / teen action movies with a fleshy element. it doesn't take five minutes of watching a pinku eiga / pink film in order to see how dramatically different the genre is to pinky violence, so it's easy to see for ourselves that talking them into one whole doesn't give true pointers to additional choices, understanding of the films.
