Finally!! Battlestar Galactica Season 3---March 25

The long wait is finally over! I'm surprised that Six gets such a huge profile on the artwork.

I'm going to wait for the inevitable complete series box set, but did anybody go in for the three season box set from Amazon UK: link? It's nicely priced at £39.97.

I already have Season 1 and 2.0 and 2.5. I will definitely be gettting this especially with over 15 hours of extras.

I would not have the patience to wait until possibly 2010 or 2011 for the complete series in Region 1.

They REALLY want us to buy this now and then wait impatiently to re-buy it again on HD?
They couldn't just put out a combo SD-DVD/HD-DVD set?

Still, glad to FINALLY have it available. I had no idea I'd have to wait a whole YEAR for it to come out when the episodes first aired. That's just inexcusable.

By huge profile do you mean nice cleavage?

This looks like an awesome set. Can't wait for this and those extras sound really good.

I never watched the 3rd season while it was being broadcast and given the long delay in releasing this series on DVD, I'll definitely plan to record season 4.

Outstanding news, BTW!

Would it be too much to ask for them to include "The Resistance", or are they saving that as an exclusive bonus for the Complete Series boxset?

The problem with that has to do with the current writer's strike. Under the current contract, the writers don't get credit or residual payments for things produced specifically for the internet, as the studios like to call it "promotional material".

If they're withheld, it'll be for contractual reasons, not for double-dipping purposes.

I'll believe it when I see it. Otherwise ... "promising" news indeed!

What's there to not believe? There's an official press release with an official release date and official artwork. Can't get any more formal than that.

Do you need to physically see it on store shelves for 100% confirmation?

I'm inclined to agree. I won't be surprised if we see a notice around the middle of February moving the release date back.

I just watched Season One on DVD recently. It was a Blind Buy. I got it on sale for $15 a few months back along with Season 2.0. What an awesome show. I can't wait to get caught up. This is a definite purchase upon it's release and hopefully I will be up to date by the time the new season begins.

I was hoping to transition to buying this series on HD DVD.

With the comments regarding terrible packaging & scratched discs on the HD Season 1 though, and no news of Season 2 & 3 or Razor in HD, sounds like it's best to stick with DVD until the end for this series.

Of course they'll probably release the whole series in HD at the end... and I'll probably give in and buy it - Oooff...

I might try and get this over the Region 2 S3 set, cus the Region 1 actually has special features.

According to TVShowsonDVD.com, "The Resistance" is included, though it's listed on disc 2, which really doesn't make sense as they are meant to be watched before Occupation/Precipice.

If you're watching S3 for the first time on DVD, be sure to watch these webisodes before you start the regular season episodes.
