just got back from seeing this, i loved it.

Never got a chance to catch this at the theater. Will give this a solid blind buy on DVD. For a change a Wes Anderson film did not get a Criterion release, but this may just be a way for Fox to milk your $$$'s for a couple of years and bang, there it is.

NO commentary means I'll wait for this to buy it used for $5.

DVDtimes says a commentary will be included with 4 featurettes

the "Bits" already announced there's no Blu-ray version slated

Will the short with Natalie Portman be included?

SO, yet another piece of garbage DVD for a film that deserves so much more. Couldn't they have put the Comedy Central "Reel Comedy" special on here? Why are they doing this to me!!!!

I saw this at Best Buy last night. I don't know if it is worth buying or not.

for such an indie that didn't do well and wasn't as popular as his previous films, i think the extras are OK.the only reason i'll buy this DVD this week is if it comes with slipcover...otherwise i'll wait for it to drop in price or maybe wait and see if there will be a new release.

the ones we got at work came in about two weeks ago, no slipcover (TWEC)

The extras seem rather anemic. Any chance of a Criterion double-dip ala Rushmore?

Since this is Fox, it might happen but will be a while.

I loved the movie and will be getting it next week. If a Criterion edition comes out in a couple of years, I'll upgrade.

Hotel Chevalier did not play with the movie when I saw it in the theater.

It played when I saw it. I would not have gone to see it in theatres if the short wasn't included.

Saw the short online, and then saw the movie in the theatre. Great movie. Can't wait to pick it up on Tuesday.

I downloaded the short from iTunes right before seeing it... then, they played it in the theatre, anyway!

Hmmm, I'm really undecided about picking this up on the release day now... I hate to say it, but if it were Criterion I'd be all over it... now I think I can wait some. I want better extras. No slipcover means I can pick it up used for 5 bucks in about 2 months. The movie wasn't bad, though possibly his weakest film... however I seem to be on the opposite end of the Wes Anderson popular opinion as I'd rank

But I certainly like all these films... just think the top 3 listed are damn good films vs two good ones.

That appears to have been a limited deal. Not every theater got the short film. Instead, where I saw the movie, there was an ad before the opening credits directing you to sign up for iTunes to see the short.

Six or seven posts above yours, somebody posted that Best Buy Canada will have exclusive postcards with this.
