Walk The Line: Extended Cut

I noticed this listed at dvdempire. Anyone know any info about it? It says a 2-Disc Set but other than that, nothing.

Good movie but not worth double dipping on, especially if it's only going to be a an extra minute or something.

If it is a 2-disc set, wonder if they're just porting over the features from the other set.

One of my favorite movies of all time, but I bet they are just putting the deleted scene footage back into the movie or using the extended music sequences. While they are good, they were good cuts pacing wise.

The previous 2-disc version is excellent already. The movie is very long already and I cannot see any new footage helping it.

Clearly this is being released to tie in with the movie about another music legend, Dewey Cox.

I might get this edition I do not know right now but it just depends on how much more footage is added back in. If they put the deleted scenes back in the only ones that would actually add anything to the storyline or whatever would be ...

Jack's Funeral
Cry, Cry, Cry
On The Phone
At The Bank

These deleted scenes add more story development/drama.

BTW, Thanks for the info about this release.

I really don't see the point. The 2-Disc SE that was released was quite good.

Uh, there was the 1-disc and 2-disc released on the same day and then nothing that I know of. So, I would say its the 2nd release of this film.

I like to think a blu-ray release is not too far behind but I'm not holding my breath.

Love the two disc already in my collection. Next upgrade will be for high def lossless surround sound. C'mon Fox!

I count this as being the 3rd release of the film. The single and 2disc versions then this extended cut. Never bought the film, so I might buy this if it comes out. or I might get the current version for cheap.

Fox has released the single version twice. The newest version strips off pretty much all of the extras found on the previous single-disc version.

So, no matter how everybody wants to count it, this new release will be (at least) the 4th version.

HA HA! Considering Fox's track record at actually delivering catalog titles they have already announced on Blu-ray (M&C, ID4, etc.), hoping for an unannounced title to be released is quite a stretch!
