LMAO!

I just hope the shirt runs small and that it will shrink in the wash because it’s a nice shirt.

I'm willing to bet money that the main disc that has the feature in the different packagings of this release are 100% identical to one another.

Darn, its a XL shirt. I was hoping it was a L so that I could rule out buying the set. L is a little snug on me and would have allowed me to pass on the deluxe edition.

Where/How are the disks housed in the set? You can't tell in the big spread-out picture of it.

Wonder if Costco got the deluxe set. If anyone sees it there, please note the price.

It's funny because it's true...

I remember a few years ago I read on a message board that some Star Trek fans were upset that the officially licensed Next Generation StarFleet uniforms didn't come in sizes higher than XL. One fan lamented, "What's the larger Star Trek fan supposed to do?"

$23.49 at Costco. Plus you save $10 if you buy it with any volume of Family Guy ($18.99 each)

They've simply taken the non-deluxe DVD (sealed in shrink wrap in its non-deluxe box) and put it in a slightly oversized pocket of the cardboard fold-out. The opposite side holds the T-Shirt, so that pocket is oversized as well. The remainder of the fold-out has the cards and the glasses to the left of the DVD, and the booklet to the right of the T-shirt.

Thanks.

Are all the extra goodies worth the price difference?

Well, I'm a Family Guy/Star Wars fan, so for me, yes. For the casual buyer, probably not. You're primarily paying for the T-shirt. I haven't watched the discs yet, but I don't think there's anything different from the standard release as far as disc content goes. The booklet is kind of cool.

Same here. I'm more wondering if its quality stuff or cheap filler crap. I don't want the shirt falling apart after a few washes.

Picked mine up for $25.95 at Meijer. I might open the 3-D glasses, but I'm leaving the shirt in the wrapper.

The 3-D sequence lasts a little over 2 minutes and is the Tie-Fighter attack on the Millennium Falcon when they escape from the Death Star.

Wow, I can't believe the size of the freakin' special edition box. It's at least as thick as the box for the Original Star Wars trilogy set. First thing that popped into my head when I saw it was "overkill". I was originally planning on picking up the special edition, but since most of the cost is going toward a T-Shirt that can probably fit three of me, I think I'll pass and wait till the regular DVD hits around $6.99.

Is it a separate feature, or is it during the actual movie?

It appears to be a separate scene in the Special Features.

OK, that brings up another question. Isn't the disk the same as the regular edition? If so, you get a 3-D scene on your disk with no glasses?

The glasses in the SE are just folded paper with paper-thin plastic lenses, so if the 3-D scene is on the non-SE disc, I would guess they include the glasses as well.

I am tempted to get this as I am a big Star Wars fan and usually laugh at Family Guy. But a lot of the reviews are negative. I've seen bits of it and they have been funny but I am just wary now.

Screw reviews. If you like something, get it. You can't base your opinion of something on what other people think.

Amen. If you're into Star Wars and don't hate Family Guy, I don't see how you won't be at least somewhat amused by it.

well, i am not a FG fan and don't watch it at all, but i saw this one and while it was good, i think it could have been a ton better which is what most reviews say, but i played it for my 12th grade classes when we had a fun day and they loved it. i did enjoy it as well. i didn't even think they knew SW, but they sure know FG (i did FF some parts) and it plays very well. so now, it's in the curriculum! at least in mine that is
