I actually enjoyed this film. I was going to buy it, but based upon the reviews here thought I should redbox it, and now having seen it and enjoyed it, I think I'll prob buy it.
I found it fun, and entertaining. It's exactly what I wanted since I was hoping for something smiler to the Fri 13th movies.. to me it's no worse then those to me. I get a kick out of seeing the guy from CandyMan again etc.

You haven't seen the real movie unless you've seen the unrated.
It has the absolute best kill scene ever filmed and alot more blood.

Finally watched this film tonight, but funny enough, I watched it right after I saw Friday the 13th Part VII. The similarities between both movies are truly uncanny. Then I realized that John Carl Buechler did the special effects for this movie, and it all made sense. Whatever he had to cut from F13th VII, he kept in Hatchet He even did the forced perspective "trick" with the falling debris.

Agree with this 100%. Pretty tired of living on Cloud 9 with these crappy films. I'm sorry, but they're just bad films, and I don't see how they get the hype that they do. Probably because there is just nothing else left to hype, and the writers need to keep their job.
