What about one of the greatest steel cage matches ever on raw. Benoit vs Angle, Come on, Benoit is a psycho but he is still and always be a great wrestler.

We all remember, the moonsault off the top of the cage, Thats classic.

The following are matches confirmed to be on this DVD set.

Undertaker vs. Damien Demento 1/11/93
Ric Flair vs. Mr. Perfect 1/25/93
123 Kid vs. Razor Ramon 5/17/93
Sycho Sid vs. Bret Hart 2/17/97

Steve Austin vs. Kane 6/29/98
Kane vs. Mankind 8/24/98
Mankind vs. The Rock 1/4/99
Rob Van Dam vs. Tommy Dreamer 8/26/02
TLC IV 10/7/02
Ric Flair vs. Triple H 5/19/03
Kane vs. Triple H 6/23/03
Shawn Michaels vs. Edge 2/28/05
Chris Jericho vs. John Cena 8/22/05
Eric Bischoff vs. John Cena 10/3/05
Edge vs. Ric Flair 1/16/06
DX vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch 10/9/06
John Cena vs. Kevin Federline 1/1/07
John Cena & Shawn Michaels vs. Rated RKO 1/29/07
John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels 4/23/07
Umaga vs. The Great Khali vs. John Cena 6/4/07

Looks pretty good, i am glad they put the Mr Perfect vs. Ric Flair - Loser leaves Town match also Steve Austin vs Kane where Austin won the title back. They are missing so many matches from 2000-2001, they should added the whole invasion thing, especially the night ECW joined WCW.

Still looks like a good set, i hope there is some sort of documentary of how RAW got started and talking about RAW vs. Nitro, etc.

I'll buy the Raw dvd simply because I'm a mark for big league wrestling DVDs....I should add that it's not a Raw Anniversary DVD if it doesn't have Gorilla Monsoon escorting then kicking Bobby Heenan out of the building, only for him to drop his bags to reveal he stole a bunch of toilet paper. That's the way to go out.

I really wish they would've put the 123 kid v. Bret Hart match from back in 1994, One of the most underrated matches and even Bret hart was quoted saying he wishes they would have included that match in his 3 disc set. I could probably name a few more if I really tried, but that one match sticks out.

As for the matches they did include, Sid v. Bret match, I always liked that match since it cemented the Bret/Austin mania 13 match, Stone cold costing Bret the title was a cool moment and just added another one to the long list of moments between Bret & Austin. Looking back, they did have a hell of a feud. Flair v. Perfect is a nice addition.

As for a documentary. I hope they do as well, If not, At least put in the special they had on during Raw's return to the USA Network.

Also, Six Cena Matches.....Yep

There is no bonus disc for Cyber Sunday at Blockbuster. In our computers there are always 2 part numbers for the PPVs. One for the regular single disc and another that says 2-disc next to the PPV name. Cyber Sunday only has one SKU and it is for the Regular PPV. I then checked store to store tonight and no Blockbuster within 50 miles Dayton even have a copy of it. I then Checked Survivor Series and we only have the Single Disc in our computers for it too and we don't have have any copies of it on order either. I'm pretty sure that Blockbuster won't be recieving anymore Exclusives from WWE. I try to see if I can find anything from corporate about it on Thursday wyhen I work next. Hope that Helps.

Six Cena matches is fucking ridiculous though. 1 or 2 tops would have sufficed. Just more of them shoving Cena down everyone's throats. I'd much rather have had 6 Bret Hart or 6 Austin matches. And another glaring omission is classic DX stuff from 97 and 98. I guess they want us to forget about the DX from that era.

Thank you, BigJames. I appreciate all the info you have posted in the past several months. It was really a huge help to a collector like me.

As for the promotion. Figures they would just drop the bonus disc promotion out of nowhere. 3 more PPV'S to go and they just decide to pull the plug. What a bunch of dumbshits.

Blockbuster halted (indefintely) exclusives for WWE DVDs due to low rental circulation (since SummerSlam). I guess they made a major mistake not providing brand new sealed version therefore most consumers rent to own most Blockbuster WWE releases since SummerSlam2007

I don't doubt that's the reason, They used that exact reason for not carrying a sealed copy for sale. Bottom line, there whole fucking company has a low rental circulation. If your going to start something, at least finish it. Are they really trying to tell me that the rental stats were so freaking low that they just needed to pull the plug on these bonus discs w/3 more to go. Bullshit.

Wait a minute, I think Bret picked the matches he wants on the DVD, if he wanted the 123 Kid vs Bret Hart match on the DVD, he would put it in since he selected the matches

is the Bret v Sid match the cage match...when Bret grabs the mic and starts cursing and then knocks Vince on his ass? I hope so, that was one of my favorite Bret promos (makes you wonder if it was half script/half shoot). If it is, I hope hes not censored.

l8nerduke32,
Nope its the Bret/Sid title change from the day after the IYH Final Four PPV.

I'm very underwhelmed by the matchlisting for the RAW DVD. For one, I do not see a single Kurt Angle match on the set. Only one Rock match. Too much John Cena.

Good, that's one I don't have to worry about buying. One Rock match? Six Cena ones, including the two-minute or so one vs. Bischoff from Homecoming? What a shitty selection. I'd actually like to have the Taker-Demento one, because if it's the one I'm thinking of it was a running joke with one of my friends for years that they'd show us the end to that match ones of these weeks on Raw. I have most of these matches, anyways.

Thanks that is what I wanted to know. Sad that they did that. Oh well I guess.

i completely agree with you. Why the hell do they keep shoving Cena down our throats? Aren't those matches on the just released Cena CD?

Matches that should be in:

Marty Jannety vs Shawn Michaels for the IC Title
Bret Hart vs the Patriot
Chris Jericho vs Triple H when he almost won the title
Jeff Hardy vs the Undertaker for the WWF title
Hogan vs Ric Flair
Booker T vs Buff Bagwell (for shits and giggles)

There should be many more, including Kurt Angle, more Rock matches, any Hardy match. If the DVD is any indication, thr Raw 15th anniversary could turn out like the 10th anniversary in level of suckiness.

It's a shame really. Cena was at the top of his game when he first came in. Hatred aside, the man's mic skills are incredible. But after that US title run and him coming to Raw it got boring fast.

The other problem is the WWE (or mainly Vince) seems to think they know what the fans want. That Raw 15th looks like total crap. Where is DX...like the night they formed and pushed Foley & Funk off the stage (that was shocking in 1997)? Or when Triple H put out a bounty and Jindrak & Cade were running around with his money? Where is cool stuff like that?

And just for shits and giggles, I want the APA to come back and they need a DVD...period. DAMN!!!!

Well, although the match listing is pretty disappointing after the year 1993, I'm sure that the disc will also be full of segments and interviews, so I'm still holding out hope on that. So we can't really damn this DVD to hell quite yet, hopefully we will see the best segments as well.

Why did they double dip on the Michales/Cena match.....it was great but wasn't it just released on the new HBK DVD?.....Also what about Edge vs. Orton not making the cut.....I never got to see that match and I heard it was on of the top matches on RAW this past year.

BTW.............is there a thread where people can discuss trading TNA/WWE DVDs?

There are a few I am missing to complete my collection and if not can one be started pertaining to Buy/Sell/Trade WWE/TNA DVDs?

Thanks

As stated by bret hart in an interview after the release. He "technically" picked the matches. They faxed him a list of 30 to 50 matches. He had to choose what matches he really wanted, didn't care for, etc. The 123 kid match was either on their and he didn't rate it high enough or it wasn't on the list at all. He didn't remember which, he just regrets that it wasn't on the DVD.

I've just kinda decided to start trading out my WWE/TNA DVD collection. I've got just about every WWE DVD produced outside a couple of oddballs. If you've got any specific interests and a trade list, feel free to PM me. I'm debating starting up a trade thread in the DVD Exchange forum, but I think I'm too lazy to catalog the whole stupid collection.

This is on the Steel Cage dvd. I didn't like that match, though. Too much shit got kicked out of. Kurt missed a moonsault off the top of the f'n cage for... a near fall. bull shit.

I went to K-Mart today and they had the World Class dvd in a box that was opened but sitting beneath the shelf. I grabbed one and took it to the checkout counter and when they scanned it they said "no sale" because it was before street date. I didn't get bent out of shape because I know the kid is just obeying the rules, but I was disappointed. I guess I'll have to wait until next Tuesday.
