WEIRD SCIENCE - TV Series is coming to DVD

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Wei...s-1-and-2/8218

I loved this show. Far better cast in this than the original movie.

It's coming out January 1, which is a strange date for a DVD release, but what do I know?

Same here. I can't wait. Cool they are releasing 26 episodes. I hope we get the other 3 seasons.

This is great news. One of my favs. It's the kinda show you'd don't realize how much you miss till you get reminded one day.

It's coming from A&E, the masters at putting out the entire series then collecting them all in a mega set. I will wait for the mega set and a killer buy one get one free sale.

I totally forgot about this show! But I remember watching it years ago with my father late at night along with some cartoon called "DUCKMAN" or something like that. I really cannot wait to get my hands on these DVDs. Although, I hope the show holds up better than some from my childhood...

This is fantastic news. I loved this show and this seems like a show that was very unlikely to be released on DVD. Now I think my new most wanted show I want on DVD is The State. I know they are working on it but it's taking forever.

I've been waiting patiently for this. I hope they don't release this and then stop before finishing it off.

I haven't seen this show in years. I remember that Lee Tergesen was just chewing the scenery with reckless abandon.

It was in a block with Parker Lewis Cant Lose, Wings, Ned and Stacey, Just the 10 of Us, Major Dad etc, they used to switch the shows quite often but all of them were good.

It's coming from A&E. Have they ever dropped a show?

They stopped releasing Family Plots, but I suppose that's not really the same. I imagine this will all be released and be discounted pretty quickly.

Count me in as another who loved this show. It was on during my early middle school years, and I watched it all the time, so I've been waiting for this announcement for a while. Glad to see they're including S1 and S2. Lee Tergesen owned as Chet, not to take anything away from Paxton, though.

I liked it, not as much as the movie but liked it none the less. My brother for some reason was addicted to this show big time.

This was a fun show, I enjoyed it. I actually preferred it to the movie version. Brings back memories of when USA actually had programming that wasn't Law&Order yada yada all the time.

All I have to add is...
"I" before "E" except after "C".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_before_e_except_after_c

"I before e, except after c" is a mnemonic device used to help students remember how to spell certain words in the English language. It means that, in words where i and e fall together, the order is ie, except directly following c, when it is ei. For example:

* ie in words like siege, friend
* ei in words like ceiling, receive

However, in its short form the rule has many common exceptions, such as species, science, sufficient (where ie follows c) or seize, weird, vein and kaleidoscope (where ei is not preceded by c). More exceptions are listed below. Various augmentations to the rhyme have been proposed to handle these exceptions.
A British version is:

when the sound is ee
it's i before e
except after c
