Is Adaptation SE ever coming out?
I've been waiting for years for Adaptation SE to come out and I havent heard anything about it coming out soon. Anyone know anything about this? I think I'm just going to buy the Superbit I've seen it in the Walmart $5 bin. I'm sure the day I do they'll announce the new version

You might have noticed that the DVD market has imploded over the past couple of years, so there is no financial incentive for studios to gussy up catalog titles with expensive new features. The very best you can hope for is for the current release to be ported over to a Blu-Ray release, and even that is unlikely in this economy.

A few months ago, Sony licensed several titles to Image, including Adaptation. There is a link between Image and Criterion...so that's what I have my fingers crossed for, at the moment.
