NICE! I'll probably get the unrated/extended even though I felt the movie ran 15-30 minutes too long anyway (like all the other Apatow films). Even so, this was my favorite movie of the summer. I'm really glad they are releasing this before Christmas too. Can't wait to pick this up!

I am wary of the Unrated/Extended. I agree that the movie is long as it is, and oftentimes I find "Unrated" footage to push a joke too far into gross-out territory (ala Anchorman). I would prefer that version to have both cuts.
Also I am wary of this release having different commentary tracks (ala Talladega) and thus forcing me to buy both releases. Double-dipping six months down the road and offering differing bonus features on the rated/unrated is the same thing in my book.

I'll probably get both versions, if only to get the R-rated cuts along with the unrated cuts (I like Apatow's extended cuts, but I'll admit that they tend to mess up the pacing of the movie; a flaw even the rated cuts have).

Great news about a 2-disc unrated. Hopefully this means a double-dip is not in the immediate future. Glad to have a new thread about this started since the last one seemed to belong more in the Movies discussion forum with the back and forth arguments and threadcraps.

A single disc rated and two disc unrated again? So this is yet another case where you're gonna have to buy two DVDs if you want features and the theatrical cut? I'm getting sick of this with comedies. It's not that hard to include both cuts on the same DVD.

I don't view a guy on a message board posting "Confirmed" as absolute confirmation, especially if he's not giving any information ("my sources in the industry tell me...", "the website www.blahblah.com says that..", etc).

Mao helped me through some hard times when my lady left. He washed and braided my hair. Made me grilled cheese sandwiches just the way I like (extra toasty!). And has let me borrow his car to get to my GED classes.
I trust Mao too.
