20th Anniversary Edition SE 2-Disc DVD for 2008?

Which of these 1988 films would you most like to see released as a 2-Disc Special Edition 20th Anniversary DVD for 2008?

I gotta go with Beetlejuice.

islandclaws 09-13-07 05:15 PM

Ummm.. all of them?

Edit: Poll wasn't done before I gave my snarky answer. I voted Beetlejuice.

DarthVong 09-13-07 05:16 PM

I'd buy all of them. I'm a huge fan of Beetlejuice .

Rammsteinfan 09-13-07 05:44 PM

Beetlejuice is my vote since i already own the others and dont want to double dip. Plus coming to america just got an SE and there isnt much more you can add is there? Willow would be my second choice but didnt it already have enough stuff?

Other 88 flicks I probbly would buy: Naked Gun, Twins, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, They Live!!, Hellraiser 2, Above the Law, Funny Farm, Blob remake, Tucker, Alien Nation, Mac and Me, Return of the Living Dead Part 2.

I haven't yet bought Beetlejuice and cannot believe they haven't done a proper release for that title yet. What gives?

uncle-frank 09-13-07 06:04 PM

recently ive stopped trying to get all these special editions because im spending all this money and in some cases not getting around to watching the features.

beetlejuice is a maybe tho if it is done. was the first one a flip disc?

i never got the dvd of it yet

calhoun07 09-13-07 06:11 PM

I also want to throw Bulworth in there. That's another one that never really got a good release, and I've held out hope for one. And with 2008 being an election year, why not?

lisadoris 09-13-07 06:20 PM

As much as I want Beetlejuice, I NEED a SE of Running on Empty if only to see it in its OAR and in something other than a snapper case.

tofferman 09-13-07 06:25 PM

I voted for Dangerous Liaisons...Beetlejuice would be a close second choice.

Zen Peckinpah 09-13-07 06:28 PM

Beetlejuice is a must, but I'd kill for a They Live SE, complete with on-pack sunglasses and pack of bubble gum. And a Naked Gun anniversary edition with a stuffed beaver and that remote that turned people into assassins too.

MasterofDVD 09-13-07 06:32 PM

I voted for Beetlejuice as well.

smashthesymbols 09-13-07 06:41 PM

Beetlejuice gets my vote. There's other deserving movies as well, but that one just sticks out as having a really bad DVD. Snapper case, flipper disc, essentially no extras, actually the only thing right about the DVD is that it's anamorphic widescreen.

Um, you'll have to wait until 2018 for that one....this is for 20TH anniversary releases....movies originally released in 1988, not 1998...

TheMovieman 09-13-07 07:34 PM

No doubt Beetlejuice... It'd be odd if they didn't release a SE next year.

matome 09-13-07 07:37 PM

Beetlejuice for sure, if only for a nice new transfer (Blu-Ray would be even nicer)

Coming To America just got an SE a few months ago, so that can probably be scratched from the list.

Drop 09-13-07 08:25 PM

Beetlejuice. I want this badly, and I want to see a lot of outtakes with Keaton.

Dane Marvin 09-13-07 09:08 PM

I chose "Willow". Almost went with "Mississippi Burning" as it needs an updated disc more than "Willow", but I'd still love to see a loaded "Willow" release. It's a shame because if "Willow" were to be released nowadays, they could have done a lot more with it to make it more epic and with better special effects.

Chet Desmond 09-13-07 09:15 PM

Romero's "Monkey Shines"

The Monkees 09-14-07 01:28 AM

Beetlejuice!!

C'mon Warner, you did it right with Batman finally!

nateman 09-14-07 10:08 AM

I voted for Beetlejuice but I would most definitely like too see They Live & Midnight Run SE DVDs.

wishbone 09-14-07 10:14 AM

Voted "Beetlejuice" (not purchased yet), also "Adventures of Baron Munchausen" and "They Live" SEs would be nice too...
