Big Trouble in Little China?

Can anyone confirm the single disc release is the same as the 2 disc minus DTS and extras?

I own both (just bought the 2-discer) so I still need to compare the picture but I think they're the same. I assume you were asking about the picture since you took out the extras and DTS track, correct?

picture and DD yes, where did you find your 2 discer and how much?

I went to half a dozen stores and looked online today with no luck, picked up the single at Walmart.

The 2-disc is OOP...

I bought it used from Amazon Marketplace for $16.98 (w/ shipping). I almost bought it on E-Bay but with shipping it would've been over $17 (if I were the highest bidder).

There's a few nice treats on Disc 2 of the BTILC SE. The 1981 EPK featurette isn't bad for what it is, the magzine articles are fun reads, and the music video is fantastic ("We got biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trouble . . .in Little China!"). Still, unless you're an uberfan, you're not missing that much. The commentary with Carpenter and Russell that's on both the single and double disc releases is by far the best extra for this film.

I'd stick with the single disc. I only went after the other because I love DTS tracks and the other extras looked good. If you don't care about extras and such, no need to pay $12 more.
