My Name Is Bruce straight to DVD this fall

Per: http://bruce-campbell.com/

Here's an early review that posted way back on DVDTalk from a not yet finished version of the film:

Anyways, unlike others I'm excited this one is coming to DVD because I'm pretty sure if this went limited theatrical it wouldn't be playing anywhere in Connecticut so I'd have to wait longer. I'm looking forward to the date.

I've been waiting to see this ever since they announced it eons ago. Too bad it's only going DTV, but I'll still snatch it up on day one. Love me some Bruce!

I'm definitely picking this up blind. The premise is so clever and cool.

Usually DTV films pretty much suck but this is a must (blind) buy for me.

The plot sounds fresh & I always enjoy when actors play themselves in a fictional way, I love when an actor can make fun of himself.

Is they’re a confirmed date for the DVD release, I know it’s supposed to be sometime in October but do they know what date?

Poor bastard can't even get a limited theatrical run?! Could be due to the poor reaction "The Man With The Screaming Brain" got, which even he lambasted. Of course, this is good news for people like me who never get the limited releases in their area. And hey, maybe this will prompt him to reconsider revisiting his Elvis role in "Bubba Nosferatu". Probably not.

Definite blind buy!

Since I live in the Chicago area, it would most likely come here. But I would probably be super busy when it played and miss it anyway. So, like alfonsosoriano, I'm glad that it is coming to DVD.

Exactly, I more than likely wouldn't have been able to go to a far off land to see it playing at some theater anyways. DVD it is and it couldn't come at a better time of year.

Bummer it is direct to DVD, but as long as I can see it, I'm happy.

Damn, I had a feeling this was going to happen. Well at least we can watch in our own homes and don't have worry about the primitive screwheads in the movie theaters "not getting it". Definitly have a place for this one on my shelf.
