The 3-disc version is definitive in my eyes. Another pointless triple-dip.

I'm more surprised that it's been ten years than the fact that they're releasing another DVD. But I'm satisfied with the 3 discer that I got for $7.50.

Unless there is an HD release, no thanks. I'm happy with my 3 disc set.

I hear the selling point of this version will be the removal of the "Armpit Titanic" coverart.

The only way in which I would buy this set would be a) if it's a 2-disc HD set with everything from the DVD special edition, or b) if it's a 2-disc DVD with the feature-length documentary that was being made for the last special edition.

I'll buy this when it goes on sale for $7.50, no more than that, though. That is, if there's enough extras that will make it worthwhile.

What a waste. The last three disc release was outstanding.

I'll pass on this one.

What else can they do? More behind the scenes, more how did they do that?, more photo galleries, more commentaries from who knows who, another diving on the wreck documentary. It's all been done ad nauseum.

I'll wait for an extended cut HD release.

Although I love this movie, I'm extremely happy with my 3-disc set, so I'll pass on this.

How about they release special editions or anniversary editions for movies that are bare-bones, and not ones that already got the special edition treatment?

I really don't see the point (well aside from the fact that Paramount wants more money).

Wow, what more do you want? A free life-size ship with purchase of the DVD?

As for me, it's one of my prized "Special Editions" from my collection, and I have 1000+ DVDs.

I agree that the 3 disc set, which I found new for about 8.00, is all the Titanic I need for a long time.

Sh*t, I only have the 1-disc bare bones edition with only the theatrical trailer that was released in 99’. I thought Titanic was a good movie but I saw no reason for getting the 3-disc version back in fall of 05’, so I’ll pass on this dipper’.

& yes, I would buy it if it included a life size ship.

Why do you consider it disappointing? I think it was a pretty good one, not the best, but still very well done.
