I got steelbook at Sam Goody, I am interested in the prequel at Walmart. How long is it? Is it worth buying a second copy just so I can get this?

I just checked out the download card from Circuit City. Basically you go to a website and enter the code on the card. You get a few free ringtones and wallpapers. But you can also access 4 featurettes, each about 3 minutes long. They are about the voicework, the stunts, the weapons used, and the animatics used to create the transformers.

I got Transformers in the mail today and both discs were loose in the case.

What's with those cheapo 2-disc DVD cases that Paramount have been using lately?

The discs barely stay in place, they fall off the hub for nothing. I can't remember ever getting one of those cases in the mail, without discs rattling around inside, all scratched up. :(

How's the Wal-Mart exclusive, is it worth the extra $$$?

kenage 10-19-07 07:11 PM

Does Costco have anything extra in the set they have? Is it any good? I just purchased the Wallmart set for the extra disk. I have yet to watch it.

I vote no.

I've seen it once, but I probably won't watch it again.

EvlAsh, Its NOT worth! I saw the second disc and it was one utter nonsense animated storyboard...

I myself got the Target transforming case after much thought. Liked the steelbook, but the transforming case was to unique to not get.

Something I did not see in the review unless I just missed it (or in this thread which I just breezed through), but at the end of the movie on disc 1 it comes to a menu for three things: An Autobot featurette, Transformers Teaser, and an Iron Man trailer (which is great). Thought I would share that in case someone did not find that yet. Sorry if this has already been posted.

didn't plan on getting this, but i got the target version as a gift so i'm good.

I've found 4 Easter Eggs on Disc 2 so far. One is a faux toy commercial for a Michael Bay Transformer!

Where are they? All I found so far were the DVD credits. :(

JoeP 10-20-07 11:04 PM

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but if you let the credits run in their entirety and allow the disc to boot back to the menus, it will bring up a menu where you can view the Iron Man teaser, an ad for the TF website, and the TF teaser.

I can't believe I've bought the movie 5 times. But I couldn't decide between the following, so I got them all: Both steelbooks, Costco Movie Guide, Walmart bonus disc, Circuit City download card. I don't even want to do the math. But I just couldn't get into the toys or the transforming case. They look lame to me. I hope I have more restraint when Spider-man 3 comes out, lol.

I can see all of those, but I'm just blank on why the CC download card was a "must have" :scratch2:

RD1973 10-20-07 11:20 PM

Because I love featurettes, and the card gives you access to 4 totalling 11 minutes.

xage 10-20-07 11:31 PM

*edited * update in another page....

Abe. 10-20-07 11:34 PM

Xage, you didn't get the Blockbuster MP3 player that came with the movie?

Edit: Nevermind, your pictures just loaded :(

Where's the HD-DVD, man -wink-

What's that next to the HD-DVD?

dizzlle01 10-21-07 02:43 AM

Im curious do you have an hd dvd player. Or you just get it to have all the transformer. And nice collection by the way

sergtv 10-21-07 03:41 AM

I just picked up the two disk set at best buy today.. why is there room for three dvd's.. one disk could go on the top, where an insert would be.. and two fit on the bottom.. like the u2 popmart dvd.. I just thought that was a bit strange.

LorenzoL 10-21-07 07:03 AM

Wow! You know a movie has too many exclusives when even Xage has trouble purchasing them all.

I'm kinda pissed off that I was only able to get the Future Shop Decepticon steelbook. I was looking to get the Autobot version too but by the time I got off work, it was all gone. If another fellow Canadian is willing to part with an extra copy at a "decent" price, please send me a PM. Thanks.
