Actually I think the transforming case is kind of cool, I doubt I'll be buying the film though.

Walmart 2 disc exclusive package art and info. Any ideas how long the Prequel disc is?

i cant tell from this, is this the single disc and the bonus as " a 2 disc set" or 2disc plus bonus?

It'll be the single disc version with the bonus "Beginnings" DVD. Walmart rarely adds bonuses to to 2 disc editions of movies. Best bet is to bite the "All Spark" and buy both the 2 disc and this version. (pun intended) That's the only advice I can give ya.

i saw a pic of the steelbook when i went to preorder. they look good. like any steelbook actually. grey case, but they have 2, one with an Autobot logo and one with a Decepticon logo on front. i bought the Decepticon version. they both look niice though. thanks to this thread for even letting me know about this steelbook. i would have died if i missed out on a steelbook i am remotely interested in.

db27 10-12-07 02:32 PM

for anyone who was concerned about the steelbooks at fye, they came in today and I can confim they are the same as any steelbook I have seen.

Reg retail $29.99 on sale for $26.99 I think.

Just saw a full page ad in the new Ent. Weekly for Target's tranforming case/2-disc set. No price given, but it said it does include some sort of exclusive comic book.

 Thanks! I pre-ordered one a few weeks ago. I'm no longer worried.

Do you know how many came to the store? Was it a limited amount?

Yavin 10-12-07 02:52 PM

After seeing close-up pics of the steelbooks in this week's FutureShop flyer, I'm not sure which one I want anymore. The Decepticon insignia looks kind of simplistic compared to the Autobot insignia. Based purely on looks, I'm now leaning toward the Autobot steelbook. But I wonder which, if any, will be the rarer of the two down the line?

You have to choose FYE.COM in the Purchase Location box, not FYE. This is a rebate for their online store.

Depending on how long the Beginnings DVD is at Walmart, if its just a few mins long then ill pass. Ill probably get the 1 disc + bonus and 2 disc set. Give the 1 disc away for xmas and keep the beginnings disc.

thanks.

It seems to be region 2 only for the duel sided steelbook, which play.com have listed as an exclusive to them with comic book. I've pre-ordered this version as i like the look of fye steelbooks, but i don't want to shell out twice for the same disc content when with a little patience (region 2 release is december 3) i can have both logo's on the one steelbook. I posted link to the play.com steelbook on page 6 of this thread.

same thoughts, here :)

Can you take some pictures if possible? Or a description. Thanks.

It will take a minute, but look through this thread a few pages back: There is at least a few pictures of this steelbook and others, and quite a few descriptions. There is no need for him to take pictures or describe it.

HappyRabbit 10-13-07 01:46 AM

So is there a Transformers R1 steelbook? And if so, where can one order it. Thanks in advance

DJariya 10-13-07 02:58 AM

You know if that Transformers Beginnings DVD is 30 minutes or more, I may actually have to get that.

Plus, the Target 2-disc case that changes into a Transformer sounds really enticing as well.

yes, there is. it is a transworld exclusive, which means it can be pre-ordered at any transworld-owned store. examples of such store include: FYE, sunocast, coconuts. they must be pre-ordered in-store, so you can visit fye.com or suncoast.com to find a store location close to you. you could go release day and check, but these are supposed to be very limited, so it's probably best to pre-order so you have one reserved for you. it takes $5 to pre-order, but you can pay in-full at the time of pre-order also. depends on whether or not you wanna hold on to your money until 10/16.

these images are taken from canada's futureshop where they have the canadian exclusive. but they are the same steelbooks being offered by transworld which has the US exclusive.

I know that, but I heard from some people that it's different from Futureshop ones and all the descriptions mentioned in this thread.

Just wanted an actual description (or picture/s) from someone who's actually seen them.

argh923 10-13-07 03:51 PM

Does anyone know if Wal-Mart's exclusive prequel will be included with the 2-disc edition there?

No. It's only available with the 1 disc.

thanks.

I couldnt get any more information as of now if there are any stores within North America that offer the dual emblem (Cybertron & Decepticon) steelbook.

And nope, its not just R2.. at the bottom of this post, I attached a pic from a Philippines (R3) website that features the marketing for the upcoming Transformers release.

:eyebrow: nope.. its not just region 2, Paramount made a major worldwide marketing blitx for Transformers (in fact they push it earlier than expected to be ahead in sales for the month of "-bers" )

Philippines as I see it carries the most blessed marketing from Paramount among other countries.

-confused- But take a look at its toll if we here can spend around $20-$40 there spends like P800-P2,000 in their currency
