-extended fuzz ball rally
-QT commentary
-fancy packaging

Is there anything else?

^Wasn't there only one Commentary on the R1 release. SO wouldnt you be getting Four extra commentaries.
I have the R2 but i still will have to pick this up for fuzz ball and the QT commentary.

Hmm, the Best Buy (Canada) and Future Shop websites show this to be releasing on Dec 11. I guess us Canucks have to wait an extra couple of weeks?

In fact, the R1 came with no commentaries. So add 5 commentaries, plus the features, etc. I'd say it's worth double dipping, and at least Universal is making it worth our while (I say our, though as I saw this coming, I didn't buy it upon release).

Surprisingly mine came with one - Edgar Wright & Simon Pegg one to be exact. I'll double dip. If I would have owned Walmart exclusive I'd triple dip. In fact if there was a Shaun of the Dead edition with 9 discs and it would be worth $200 I would double/triple/quadruple dip too!

I'm sure that the R1 release had at least one commentary track, featuring Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright. I only owned it for a short while, sold it after I heard of this upcoming release so I didn't have a chance to listen to it, but I'm sure that commentary track was on it.

I picked it up today, what great packaging. I have to hand it to Universal, they really made it worth everyone's while to pick this up.

You're welcome... Glad to share. When I opened the mail this morning and pulled that out... Yeah, wow is pretty much what I said as well. Very, very sharp.

The transfer is surprisingly sharp considering the five commentaries. And the Quentin one is as fun to listen to as advertised.

I was impressed with the packaging, certainly worth the $25 I paid for it.

damn, i went through all the hastle of finding a widescreen version with the wal mart bonus disc, and now this comes out. since i'm kinda an extras (and Tarantino) whore, should i just man up and buy the 3 disc and sell the 2 disc on ebay?

While I have the HD DVD version, which has awesome PQ, if I was buying standard def, I would not be able to resist this set - the packaging looks great!

Yes, yes, yes. Five commentaries! It's worth the hassle, trust me.

Dammit! I'm still bitter about Universal releasing this so soon after the regular DVD (and announcing it after the release of said DVD), not to mention all the hoops I had to jump through to get a WS version of the Wal-Mart exclusive.

I vowed not to essentially give Universal a to this practice and buy this set, but my resolve is weakening.

Same here. The Wal*Mart exclusive wasn't available here in Canada. I went to multiple stores and asked multiple clueless employees about it, but to no avail. I used a gift card to buy the 1-disc of Hot Fuzz, but the cheapo in me is trying to resist double-dipping so soon. I'm sure, though, that when I see it in the store I will give in and just buy the damn thing. It's apparently not being released in Canada till Dec 11, so I have some time to mull over it still. Decisions, decisions ...

I have the 1-Disc version I bought for $5 and don't plan on upgrading anytime soon, that is until it gets under $15. I didn't upgrade Panic room until a few months ago when Wal-Mart had it bundled with Enough for $13.92

My resistence is fading. I have the R2 2-Disc version and thought I was set for life. That 3rd disc of goodies & Tarantino commentary is really calling out to me.

Anyone know why this has been pushed back in Canada? I really wanted to buy it this week!
