"Howard the Duck" already on DVD?

I clicked on this link right from DVD Talk. I thought this wasn't even a glimmer in some production company's mind as yet. What gives and if bootleg, why on earth is it a link on this wonderful anti-piracy site??

There are tons of ads through google ads for bootlegs which this site use. The home theater forum has been speculating on a new release for it because of a recent foreign release that they have found so I wouldnt waste money on a boot.

Google ads are completely automated, so no one ever vets any of the ads anywhere. I think you can get them blocked if you bitch about it, but left to their own devices, they come up with a lot of crapola and scams.

There is a Widescreen Uncut version coming out on DVD in Germany
http://www.kochmedia-dvd.com/?rid=45...84571038920877

I think that will mark the 2nd global release of this movie onto DVD. There is that awful Fullscreen Brazil DVD and now this. Everything else is not the real deal (though I think that Widescreen version is excellent).

One more time. This "wonderful anti-piracy site" has no say over what companies Google chooses to advertise in the banners.*

However, if you really were wondering about Howard on DVD, you could search and find a few threads like THIS one or THIS one or even THIS oldie but goodie.

When and if this comes out in the US, I will get it just to be a comic-to-movie DVD completist, but it seems funny to have so much speculation and impatience over a movie that routinely makes the "worst movies ever made" lists. I suppose that is what being rare will get you. We always want more what we can't have.
