Is Neighbors on DVD? I can't find it any place but thought I would ask (the search didn't help!) Is it just me that wants to see this? I loved back when I saw in a cable around 83.

If you're talking about the John Belushi / Dan Aykroyd movie, I think it's only been released in Region 2.

I got tired of waiting for it in Region 1, so I bought the Region 2 release. Usually when I do that, an announcement of a Region 1 release soon follows but this was almost six months ago. Glad I have it though, great movie.

I would buy this. I'd watch this again out of morbid curiosity. Belushi spent most of the shoot holed up in his trailer snorting/shooting mountains of cocaine. This is very apparent when watching the film. I believe most of the cast and crew were coked out of their respective brain pans. Yet the film works and it's got a very odd energy about it.

Then again I could be totally off the mark, I saw this in theaters one time in 1981.

I think I will cave in and buy R2 eventually.

I didn't care for this movie when I first saw it (which was shortly after I first saw Animal House and Blues Brothers), but now that I am older, I'd like to give it another chance. Has it been on cable recently?

If you have on demand from Comcast it is usually a free movie.
