Fox/MGM Home Entertainment has announced the third and final volume of The Addams Family which will be arriving in stores from the 11th September. Retail will be around $29.98. The three-disc package will include the remaining twenty episodes of the show - each of which will be presented in 1.33:1 full frame, along with English Mono tracks. Extras will include Thing and Cousin Itt scene commentary on “Morticia’s Dilemma” and “Ophelia Finds Romance”, an audio commentary on "Morticia the Decorator" from “The Addams Chronicles” author Stephen Cox, and some Tombstone Trivia on “Cat Addams”.

I was hoping for the reunion special as a bonus as well. The Cousin Itt & Thing commentaries are a waste of space and time. But I'll be happy to finish this off!

I was hoping for some Addam's Family cartoons as a bonus feature.

just announced is the inevitable COMPLETE COLLECTION on Nov. 13th. It looks to be just a bundle with special velvet packaging, no bonus content, at least so far.

Now that I know about this set, I may sell Volumes 1 and 2, and instead of buying Volume 3, just wait for the set.

Okay, I'm bailing on my Volume 1 set and going whole hog. I LOVE The Addams Family!

I missed out on the first two volumes of The Addams Family when they came out on their original release dates & I have yet to pick them up so I’ll be getting the ‘Complete Series’. I love The Addams Family as well & nothing compares too the original series. I liked the 2 Addams Family movies but the TV series is still unbeatable.

I wonder if they’ll release The New Addams Family on DVD?

Complete sets make me sad.

It's a tough line to walk. Buy now and hope they finish the series, or wait to see if there'll be a complete set.. and if not, pray for a sale on the seasons! *sigh* If it's any more compact, maybe I'll try and get rid of what I've bought already.

I %99 of the time buy the seasons individually on there original release dates. With TOD titles, every copy sold counts. I missed buying The Addams Family volumes so I’ll be picking up the ‘Complete Series’, but it’s the only ‘Complete Series’ set I have picked up, I buy my TV shows on there release dates.

If too many people hold off buying the individual season sets, their won’t be a ‘Complete Series’ set because the studio isn’t going to put something out that most likely will sell extremely poor.
